With Francis working out hard this offseason I wonder if he was working out his legs also to increase his vertical leap because I remember hearing him say on "Madd Sports" that he probably had a 50 inch vertical leap now so my fellow Rocket fans what do you think

What did he have last year? 43"-44"? I am not sure it's even possible to add 6-7 inches to your vert in just a couple months? Plus he's gonna dunk on everyone anyways - it's not like he needs to jump over everyone's in the process too..

Expecting him to add 7 inches over the course of a summer.. to an already 42-43 inch vertical is just insane..and r****ded.

think about it.. if you could add 7-8 inches to your vertical..you'd do it too.. right?

Oh.. so this is how you add a signature huh? coo coo.

I think his vertical is 40", which is amazing for a guy 6'3". I loved that game last year where Steve tried to dunk over Mourning about 5 times, but Mourning kept either fouling him or rejecting him. What impressed me was Steve's complete lack of fear.

Just how much of a vertical leap does Stevie need to embarrass his foe? Da Man is just INSANE

That's what the other teams will be saying after being shellshocked by Steve Francis and Co.

I can jump great for a 6 foot white guy. I am in week 6 of a 12 week vertical jumping program and I know I have added atleast 4-5 inches and can dunk way easier than before.

If you hoop and want to increase your vertical, this is a great program.

I've got a picture of Steve where is head is at the rim. IF he is 6'3", then thats a 45 inch vertical. He's prolly a little shorter than that, so it could be even more.

All the kid needs is a pair of Strength shoes and he could definitley increase his vertical. Thos damn things work great!

    FYI,

Steve's been measured at 43" on his vertical.

Also, don't forget it's not just in the past 2 months. That past vertical was measured over a year ago (I believe in the predraft camps, or in some workouts).

If Francis can leap like he did last year, then that's fine. Anything above that should be considered gravy. A 6'3" guard jumping as high as he did is not normal. He is sick, and the best thing ... he will only get better.

I'm not going to say it's impossible, especially because he is so young and may still be growing, but I'd say it's unlikely.
