Never understood the hate for Lin Lin is playing like the 1994 version of J.Kidd J.Kidd 1994 11.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 7.7 assists 38%FG 28%3FG I'm not saying Lin has the same Potential as J.Kidd, but most teams would take that production from a PG with less the 35 starts
I think once we get better players around him his numbers will look much better. Asking him to score 15-20 a game is not his game and is putting too much pressure on him. I know he has a big contract but that was the going rate to get him. If he is not producing next year then it will be considered a fluke and waste. So lets just give him (and the rest of the team) more time to work through the rough spots before we make a final judgement.
Shhhh... these are the same type guys who thought that nobody would offer Lin more than the Bi-annual exception ($2.1M), or who think that NBA teams could stay competitive by only being willing to offer a Max contract to 4 players in the NBA...
Just because I don't think he is living up to his contract doesn't mean I'm r****ded. All I meant to imply in my post was that comparing Jason Kidd as a 21 year old rookie making rookie money, to a 24 year old Lin who isn't currently living up to a contract that I actually do believe he has the ability to do.... isn't exactly apples to apples.
Lin has been a bust so far as far as his contract goes... no ifs or buts about it. It's only a few games in so I'm still hoping he'd turn it around. But with every pathetic performance my patience is wearing thin...

I think it's hard to argue he is not a joke at this point. I was a supporter when he joined the team and I still am. But my patience is gradually wearing thin. He is playing like he is just not a NBA level basketball player. I support giving my playing time to Toney Douglas. Lin will have another chance once he can put his game together.
Lin's shooting has been atrocious and most of them are wide open looks. Anybody whose signup date to clutchfans is on or after July 2012 are most likely Lin Only Fans who cannot accept the fact that he's been stinking it up. Dragic and Lowry are way better it's not even funny.
Dragic lacks essential PG skills. Would he be a more seamless fit (instead of Lin) at the SG position & have Harden be the primary playmaker most likely. But facts are facts Dragic isn't a PG at all.
Dude don't lump everyone together. Yes he's shooting has been atrocious and a lot of us are losing faith in him with every game. We are essentially arguing over his potential .. And a lot of fans are still holding on to the fact that he will get better with shooting. U may not like him but u realize it will be good for the rox if he gets better right. Yes lowery and dragic are playing much better right now but whether u like it or not Lin will be here and they are gone.
If I may ask, what should a player production look like under Lin's contract??? can you please list statistic and players who are in their third year making the same money as Mr. Lin??? Past and future players are welcome, so please fire away!!!!:grin:
I'm a Knick fan and Houston is my West team this year I would say i started rooting for the Rockets because of Lin , but then I watched Summer League and loved the Rocket Rookies. I really like everyone on this roster, but TD(sorry as a Knick fan,TD is the nicest guy, but a terrible NBA player) I understand why Rocket fans are upset with Lin because Lowry is better than both Dragic and Lin and was cheaper then both. The reason Lin got 8 million a year was off potential more then production, just like why Lawson, DeRozen, Holiday from the 09 draft got extensions, though all three played more games then Lin and had better stats, each player got their extension off potentially getting better. I'm NBA Fan I remember Old Man Willis, Crazy V.Maxwell, Thorpe,Rookie Cassell and of course second best Center ever The Dream
