Clutch hasn't finished his article yet, but this is on the front-page: Media Day is here Photos are coming, but a few facts from Media Day: Mo Taylor is wearing #2, Moochie Norris has a fro that would make Fletch jealous and Hakeem Olajuwon says he is still in suspense as to whether his medication will allow him to play this year. I'm just surprised no one is talking about it (or anything else). ------------------ Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
Im happy to hear moochie has a big fro. On the hakeem issue, the guy in mind should not even play in the pre season. I can tell you this that Hakeem wont avg more than 15 minutes a night. It comes a time when you just cant take it and this is it for the dream. ------------------ "You look a team that's been to the mountaintop like the Houston Rockets, I'm going to put pressure on myself to be the best possible player that I can be. With the pieces they already have in place and myself, we can do some amazing things next season." Maurice Taylor
I wonder how Steve and Kelvin looked. They were both supposed to have packed on the muscle. ------------------ "I'd like to be going down Fourth Avenue in a parade with all the graffiti coming down on our heads." -- Patrick Ewing, showing off that Georgetown edumacation.
I read the frontpage, and it makes me think I am right about Hakeem. He is not ready for his final year, and he will end up embarassing himself. Its time to retire, imo. ------------------
I hate to bring this up but what if Hakeem tries to play and passes out like Reggie Lewis I think its time to call it quits before he seriously hurts hiself.
Little Francis, what is really scary is that the doctors don't seem to know what is exactly Hakeem's problem. I want Hakeem, one of our cities few sports icons, to go out in style. I don't think he can do it on the court, so he needs to hang it up now and let a young player have his roster spot. This would be better for Hakeem, the fans, and most importantly the Rockets. We need to build for the future, and Hakeem needs to preserve his good health. ------------------
They should let him hang around in a coaches role. You know, school Kelvin and Mo' in practice. I'm afraid to see him struggle through another season like last year! ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, but it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and pimp-slap the mother****** upside the head!
Hakeem should retire so that he'll free up cap space this year. Oh, by the way, Did ya get it? Hour--back. Get it? ------------------ "Everyone I know has a big but... come on Simone, let's talk about your but."
Hakeem is hurting. No doubt about it. But Dream is a calming influence so he needs to be around the kids. He needs to be a part of this team. You can be certain that his impact will be felt on the court. Even if he does not play. And that's something you should respect. He is not only needed, but absolutely neccessary to our success this year and down the road. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
I think Hakeem would make a great coach for some team. Hakeem's last year of being a great player was the 96-97 in which we lost in the Western Conference Championship to the Jazz.
