Are these guys pretty much just part of Rockets history or are they coming to camp?

Thats the question I have. Who is invited to camp? I know Rayford Young 5'11 guard out of Texas Tech was invited but whom else? Pig, Tyronne, Devin Gray or even Mark Young(who played the summer league for Houston). Or are we set, which seems to be the case.

Based on the games I saw at the Revue, Washington is a pretty promising defensive player. He also hustled and went after the boards.

On the other hand, we're talking summer leagues, and a position loaded with mediocrity for us. No chance he's going to outperform Taylor/Cato/Thomas/Collier in the long term. Although there is an outside chance he could fit a Charles Jones role for us coming off the IR.

As for Ray, he was impressive as well, in sparing minutes. However, once again, he's to Moochie what Moochie is to Stevie. I guess in theory they might keep him around as insurance in case of injury, but more likely they're thinking, "well, just in case, we'll work this guy out, and if we need him, we can always sign him later..."

Oh yeah, I forgot Pig... [IMG]

Now that we have Taylor, I don't see this guy coming back... But same thing as Ray... They may be thinking... You know, just in case, we can always resign Pig later...

IMHO the Rockets would be stupid not to offer Pig Miller a spot on their roster. Two years in a row now, he had provided what every bench player should - hustle and results. He's a decent defensive player and he grabs rebounds. Most important, and I wonder why I'm the only person to notice this, Pig sets great picks (unlike any of our other frontcourt players - especially Dream unfortunately). With a guard oriented offense, his ability to do the dirty work in a pick and roll play is priceless. The Rockets need to treat Pig with the respect he deserves for being a true team player for them the last two years.

Yeah, I'd like to see Pig come back. He gave us exactly what people are asking for in a "thug" player - toughness and rebounding- though he's actually a nice guy. I don't know if there's a roster spot for Pig right now, but you KNOW Los will be injured for some substantial stretch this season if not two or three, so why not just sign Pig and put him on the IR?

I liked the idea of Tyrone on our roster this season when I thought he was a 6'10 260 lb. center. Unfortunately at summer camp, he looked more like 6'9 240 and strictly a PF. I'd rather have Pig.

It's not that I don't like Pig, but there's the question of just who's roster spot he would be taking... Personally, I'd rather have Carlos Rogers than Pig. I don't know, I really like 'Los's hustle. Also, I don't know if Pig would be happy being on the IR all season. He doesn't approach me as the type of guy to be content with that.

    Maybe I'm wrong though....
