True that. This was eons ago, but I do remember young Nash getting booed by Dallas fans when he was first traded from Phoenix to Dallas. Sometimes, it takes time. Maybe it will never happen for either Lin or TD, but it way too early in the season.
Not true. No one was open and a play was drawn up. Was he supposed to let the play develop and let the shot run out then? Then you all would have been whining that he didn't get a shot up.
I like how you just nonchalantly talk about guys like Lebron, Wade, and Bosh as if our team is even close to the same talent level.
lin, harden and parsons aren't l/b/w. But the comparison holds in the sense that the rockets have 3 dynamic, talented scorers. Furthermore, the rockets' stars are much younger. So, yes, it will take some time to integrate the talents of these 3 players together. However, in miami, it was clear from day one that their 3 best players would get tons of reps and did. That is clearly not happening in houston.
I wonder if it was Harden's ego taking over or was Sampson's play really that pathetic. Either way, it sucks.
Coaching is the issue. When Mcfail just let the players play in the very first game, since they didnt really have time to implement a system, we looked like world-beaters out there.
I think this is so funny that how many people mistake a comparison of: a). the fact that players need time to adjust to new system and tends to play alot more iso during the adjustment period; with a comparison of: b). LBJ vs Harden talent lvl
They are doing it intentionally because they have no other legitimate response. I see it all the time & it is quite tiresome. If I said Harden had the opportunity to meet Obama during the Olympics they would accuse me of saying Harden would be a better president than obama. It is what it is.
that last play was drawn up to get the ball into Lin's hands and possibly get it back to Harden for a better look at the last shot. or to pass it inside for a quick 2. i don't fault Harden for wanting to secure his last shot after all he did average 40+ points in this first 2 games here and has established himself a the "go to guy". but his ego definitely is taking over to be ignoring a play like that. when he first came on board he suggested the play he's use to in OKC. the easiest play and the one that would allow him to take over and be the man.. welcome to isoHarden folks.
All players raise their game against teams like Miami and players like LeBron. They have nothing to lose and always have the excuse of losing to the champs. But you must win those games and not just get close because that don´t matter, only the W. Team played better and if they keep that in the next few games we can hope that there will be progress. Plus don´t forget the extra motivation of playing for their coach in absence.
