Random Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2012-13

Some of these suggestions are kinda wild. No offense to anyone.
We need quality, good health and youth.

It's not easy to find,Morey was lucky with Harden.
I hope he won't make a desperate move,to beef up the front court.

Morey wants a top 20 player. I agree he will try for young. I'd like to see him get someone like MKG or Thaddeus Young at SF...I see these guys as untouchable as Love, Aldrich, but examples of what I think Morey wants. I could see Morey trading a lot for a very good young SF that isn't expiring this season on a rookie or reasonable deal. Getting a guy on this type of deal opens up the possibility of still having max money for a free agent.

While someone like Josh Smith may not make the Rockets contenders. A lineup of Lin, Harden, Young, Smith, and Asik would be. I won't speculate on how to get someone like Young. The big thing would be trying to add a good cheap player. Someone like Jones could also develop into that player if not rushed into the rotation.

That team is a contender Harden/Amare is enough offense,then we have Asik/Parsons to play defense.

Houston trades- Patterson, Cook
Houston receives- Paul Millsap

Utah trades- Millsap
Utah receives- Cook, Terrence Ross

Toronto trades- Ross
Toronto receives- Patterson

Add draft picks, filler if you want...I think this trade is probable and could help each team.

 

Doesn't even come close to matching up salary wise. On top of that, why the hell would we want that overpaid, washed-up bum?

 

toronto isnt giving up on ross especially for 2pat...utah and houston would do it, but not toronto...

 

He isn't a bum just 2yrs ago he was a MVP type player till Carmelo came in and took over the offense.Melo got Dantoni fired and NY hasn't featured him in the offense since then.Amare would thrive next to Harden trust me.

Embarrassing. Amare Stoudemire has the worst contract in the league, and I'm not sure it's even close. It should be no surprise that the Knicks are better off with Amare not anywhere near that rotation and they are going to take a step back when he returns. Houston wants nothing to do with that contract. Nobody does.

 

I'd love this trade. PPat at this point is useless IMHO, Blair would be good as a physical rebounder/defender at both spots, and gary neal would be awesome as a pg/sg.

 

Lin isn't worth John Wall period. Look at it from the Wizard's point of view, why will you trade someone who looked like one of the best players in the NBA a year ago for Lin and two picks? Saying he could become the better player is a lot like saying you could trade Ppat for Griffin on the basis that Ppat could still become the better player.
