Oh, I got it. I wasn't aware of that yet. Shame on me, though living in Brazil probably saves me from not having heard about it yet. But it doesn't look like it belongs in this forum if it's really about that... but then again, who gonna flame Doc? Not me.
I'm devastated about the Columbia. I woke up today in a great mood after the terrific play of last night (long may it continue) and the fact that it was my birthday... although I'm old enough to find it hard to believe I've had so many, and turned on the TV. What a horrible tragedy. Our team is called the Rockets. NASA is headquartered in Houston, and it's where the Astronauts live with their families. So we have close ties with the Space Program and the people who live and work here to further science and the exploration of space. This disaster hits Houston harder than any other city. Heck, my nephew works for a NASA sub-contractor. We tend to forget that this is difficult, dangerous work... just as bold and risky an exploration of the unknown as Lewis and Clark encountered exploring a continent. And just as necessary. I hope the Rockets play the rest of the season wearing black arm-bands in their memory. And I hope Les, the staff, and the players dedicate the rest of the season to them. They deserve much more.
This is truly depressing. I knew Kalpana Chawla personally as she always represented the Astronaut office during our team meetings. Sad - very sad
