We have three offensive sets and we try and have Harden play hero ball 80% of the time. Harden is great, but guys aren't going to play as hard on D or rebound etc if they don't touch the ball. Also opposing teams are just going to focus on locking down Harden since we're basically making him be our offense.
I rarely ask for a person to lose their job but I'm no basketball expert and I can see what he is coaching is flawed basketball on the court. It isn't about rookies or who gets playing time, the lack of chemistry, general confusion on both sides of the ball in team play is horrible. You have way too many raw and young players on the team to keep this up. For the sake of Lin, Harden and the rookies' development they will probably have to pull the trigger by December's end.
I'm ready for Mike D'Antoni... Jeremy Lin and James Harden with Mike D'Antoni would be freaking amazing...
It's terrible. It's making guys look worse than they are. Of course Harden is going to miss a lot of shots when they just Isolate him and have him play one on 2+. I dont' think it is a coincidence that once McHale started to take control Harden and Lin has looked a lot worse. Before they were playing off each other and now it's just...I don't even know what it is. It was a bad hire and a lot of people knew it then.
I'll never understand why Morey thought hiring this clown would be a good idea. It's gonna pain Les to fire him with two years left on his contract, but the sooner he goes the better.
McHale's style of coaching during a pivotal portion of the game when the Griz were making a run was to look down at the ground with his hand on his head.
Adelman coached his team to 4-1 without 2 starters(best 2 of starting lineup) and this game without consistent contribution from JJ as well. It's really a big contrast. Just hope the management can recognize, it's the time for experienced coach to give correct coaching instead of just using the young talented team for his own learning of the game. It's harmful to the players' confidence and growth.
I don't think McHale is to blame at all. He's doing a fine job playing guys who play D and play smart. The problem is our team goes as James Harden goes. If he's turning it over then we suck.
I'm gonna use all 5 of my twitter accounts to let Morey know we want McFail fired. Not that it will do any good though. But we need to get a petition or something going if this twitter flood doesn't work.
Jeremy Lin is not an elite player but he certainly isn't this bad. I think he tried too hard to implement what the coach wants and then get totally lost. But in the final mins when he didn't think about the coach, he actually played pretty well.
