I don't get the love for McHale as a coach, unless it's WSP. I think he is wretched. But our wretched GM seems to love him, I guess.

so dwight got two coaches fired now in less than year? but seriously..that hiring was one of the most dumbest ideas. he is not a good head coach. he would be a good defensive coach on someone else's team.
I love this part from the article: The Buss family are billionaires, and it's not like coaching salaries count against the salary cap or anything. They'll buy you out in a flash and kick you in the butt as you walk out the door with your sadface and your bindle. Basically the only thing that ever guarantees your job coaching the Lakers is winning. They settle for nothing less.
Wow, I dont know why this franchise continues to be one of the most respected, and cherished teams in the world much less the game of basketball. That front office is a three ring circus that has luckily stumbled upon so many great players over the years. Makes me thankful to be a Rockets fan. We might not have as many championships over the years, but the two that we have taste that much more sweet. I've never been a Mike Brown fan, but that doesn't change the fact that he was always brought in to be a Goat in the first place if things went south. Thats not a fair position to put your coach in at all. Whatever, the Lakers found a way to stay relevant in the media once again, even if its for the wrong reasons.
The other thing is that the Lakers easier schedule is going to offer ownership cover for making this decision. Homestand wins against Golden State and Sacramento will have Lakers fans quickly on board with this. It's very clever.
Take anything you hear in LA with a grain of salt. But one can't deny that there organization delivers to the fans.
Good. They know that their championship window shrinks each day and took appropriate steps to address their problem. Brown is a pitiful coach and was never going to lead that team to a championship. You can't worry about pleasing people when your core players are very quickly reaching the end of their careers.
