You do realize that the offense that George Karl is playing is the same type of offense we are playing. The only difference is that George has been doing this for a long time and with the same players. The nuggets offense is what we are trying to be.
yeah, McHale has a ways to go in order to earn my confidence. Objectively speaking, i don't see how it could be any other way. Not enough of a track-record to start demonizing him, but certainly nothing to inspire optimism either.
The issue I have with some fans like the one that started this thread is that some fans look at it as if people are just saying, "hey McHale sucks as a coach just to put blame on a guy we hate." Noooooooo this guy sucks at his job period .. Understand this!!! He is not a great or good coach... He is Bush league At best. Respect him as a player but as a head coach he in over his head. His decision making with this current group ticks me off... His decision making with last years team ticked me off on all levels! Each assistant coach on this team picks up the slack for him... One on offense, one on defense and another one in player development... McHale substitution pattern of players sucks... Everyone knows this. The guys in the national respect him enough not to dog him and the youth on this team can be brought up plus as a team this team isn't expected to do much anyway... But that doesn't change the fact that when you point to game time strategy McHale doesn't have one that will get a win for this team. They are better off playing run and gun basic pick and roll ball and that's just a shame!!!

I still am, but I'm just confused as to why he would throw everything from the off season, the ball movement, to accommodate Harden. You can always go to iso. Thrust your instincts Kevin.. I mean trust your instincts! Craig Ackerman said he had spoken to mctalky about not playing the rookies and basically, kevin just felt they're not ready for the moment right now. Which makes me wonder, did kevin beg maury to keep luis? I would have. here is hoping to scratch iso ball from the napkin! never liked it.
The presumption that the McHale haters seem to be making is that what we see on the floor is the proper execution of McHale's system. Probably whatever that system is or is becoming, its not being executed to perfection. In fact, its probably being executed rather poorly. So before one judges McHale's system, one has to give the players enough time to master it (a month or 2?), and then see if its effective or not. Only then can McHale be held accountable for having a bad system.
It's true, both Mchale and George Karl run the same type of offense. One thing I remember George Karl stresses during the game is to never hold on to the damn ball! Shoot it, pass it, dribble, drive to basket! But you never hold on to the ball! It is now obvious that Mchale does not have a clue how to run an offense. He is a fail of a coach...
