So are Patterson, Morris, Parsons, and Smith. I expect to see Jones shortly, but I have enjoyed Morris's play the past two games. Patterson has been playing good defense.
Pats defense has been good. But while defense is important, we need more offense out of the 3 and 4, given that at the 5, we can expect very little (looking at our starters) and we are already taxing the 1 & 2 too much. Hardens 35 pt ave so far is probably about 10 more than his season average could hope to be. So we need at least 10pts from somewhere else.
and if he played the rookies and we got ho'd, ya'll would have been biatchin bout it too! give the man some time to work and see how he can work everyone into the rotation before questioning the rotation!
Sorry. As much as i love your music, you are wrong on this one. Patterson has made a difference everytime he has been on the floor. It just doesn't always show up on the scoreboard.
So... maybe the hate for Ppat should die off for a little bit? I hate to say I told you so... but he was our most impressive player on the court today.
Yes they are. heck, even Greg Smith was shooting threes during half time. It is obviously an emphasis for the Rockets, especially since we shoot terribly from long range anyways (gotta work on the weaknesses).
John Hollinger agrees with me. John Hollinger agrees with me. Below is the chat question... Why isn't Kevin Mchale playing any of the rookies? They all had strong camps and preseason. John Hollinger (12:21 PM) I'm really puzzled by this, especially by the lack of minutes for Terrence Jones -- whom scouts (and some Rockets people) were raving about in preseason. McHale seems determined to use Aldrich off the bench and have a true 5 in at all times, but I think a Patterson-Jones frontcourt against 2nd units would work better.
Can we Please give D-Mo a shot? I feel that we have a lot of talent on the bench not being used. I understand Cole Aldrich has played in the NBA longer, but Mchale needs to realize that he has a more capable players. I also feel that Morris is a bust. I can see why Mchale is giving him a shot because the spent his entire rookie year on the bench and deserves a chance. I say we go big and use White or Jones at SF. Morris hasn't produced. And why oh why don't we ever play inside/outside. We have players like D-Mo (i like to call him Donuts) and PPat who can get the job done. This would open up threes for a lot of players. As you may have already noticed, its not rocket science to figure out our game plan, especially if you only have one, pick and roll. Remember this? This was preseason but still very, very impressive: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NcYXBzYEM8o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Help on the Low Post This is clear for everyone to see, and while I assume if Donuts was "ready", he'd be playing, I have to believe he'll see some game time soon. Even if he isn't ready yet to play an effective 20-30 minutes a game, he could potentially help us in 4-5 minute spurts by (hopefully) showing some promise on the low post. I don't see any other options that have shown this potential, and while I like Terrence Jones, don't think he really has a great post up game as yet. So to recap, I'm not calling for Donuts to immediately see 30 min per night and average 15 and 7 for instance, just to hopefully become a bit of a spark off the bench on the block.
woops sorry, here's the correct video: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jrf4bl0Ze9g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
