Lesson for tonight never disrespect your opponents when they had already blown you out.

I can smell Mobley from in front of my TV. He singlehandedly put Rockets into trouble in 3rd. Why would Steve let Mobley run the game when they were on the floor together.

Our guards really stink! Is that unusual?

I got to admit, I have no idea where Yao went...
He got the ball in the beginning, but got some TO out of it, but at least it was because he was passing. Darn, Posey should have made that lay-in, but I guess your arm gets tired after so many lay-ups:D
I'm not saying that Steve and Cat didn't freeze Yao out in the 3rd, but in that 3rd quarter Dallas just came out gunning. Rockets did well to keep up a little, but after missing some rebound here and there, we just got burnt on the 3 pointers.

after a crappy performance like this, you'd think the rox would now have some respect for the Mavs...but i doubt that will even happen

I would not blame SF and Cat, they play their game every night.
Without restrain and coaching. Every team could look like Rockets
    we are seeing.

Cat is the one who should be traded. He brings little value to the team. On defense, he is a liability.

I was suprised at the low number of shots Francis and Mobley had after half the game, plus the fact that the Rockets were leading... but in the 3rd quarter, Francis and Mobley decided that Yao (who was than on fire with 7-7) had enough shot attempts, and its now time for them to run the show by jacking up wild shots and ISO... their defense in that quarter is another topic all together.

    -G'day-

Why were Francis and Mobley talking smack about the Mavs in the Chronicle today? The Mavs had beaten us twice this year? They say we only lose when they don't play well - then they need to play better MUCH more often because we are sure losing ALOT! Now that the Mavs have beaten us 3 times this year easily, do you think Francis and Mobley will admit the Mavs are better? It's ok to be confident, but Francis and Mobley think they are the best players in the world.

That's what it comes down to...do we really want to win?
I really hope so, but I really don't see it.

I'm pissed about the loss too. But c'mon now.....when a team can go 15-31 from the 3 point line, how many times do you expect to win?

This loss frustrates me. However, the Mavericks are a title contender. WE ARE NOT. Mabye in a few years we can learn to be.

I still would rather be a Rockets fan than a Bulls fan, Clippers fan, Grizzlies fan (shall i continue?).

Yao Ming did say in an interview that there really aren't any bad NBA teams. Everyteam should be respected as a formidable opponent obviously. Either the Rox totally let their guard down (again) or the guards let the Rox down? Both.

Don Nelson completely outcoached Rudy T at the second half.
Whatever adjustment Nelson made at the half time worked, and Rudy did not have an answer.

That's why you see guards started playing foolish bball, coz they were frustrated. Failure breeds frustration. Frustration breeds more failure.

Dallas is just a better team.

I've got a feeling though that we'll win the next two games.

Rox had NO CLUE how to handle the collapsing zone. Mavs went into it late second half and it exposed our guards mercilessly for what they are not.

Who still thinks this is a well coached team:confused:

Hey, I said that I would trade either of them.

I'd prefer Francis because 1)he astonishingly does not have the maturity for player of his NBA experience and talent and 2)you get more bang for your buck for a "big name" like his.

We need a floor general. It doesn't take much. Nick van Exel or even Avery Johnson will do. These guys get the more talented players involved offensively in positions to make high percentage shots.
