AND win the championships ?? The clippers looked really good last night against L.A. Does anyone else think that they may come out of the west, and if they do, do you think they can get passed miami in the finals? the matchups would be as follows CP3 >>> Chalmers Billups << Wade Butler <<< James Griffin > Battier Jordan < Bosh but the Clippers bench is a lot better than the heat's bench.
No. And LeBron is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Butler.
If Bledsoe continues his amazing improvement and Lamar Odom plays like a 6th man candidate again, I see why not...
They don't match up well with the Heat and their coach sucks. The West appears to be wide open this year, but I still would have a hard time picking the Clippers in a series against the Spurs, Thunder or Lakers.
Come on now Griffin is much better than Battier..... I think the Clippers have a very good chance of making the WCF. A decent chance of making it to the Finals and a slim chance of winning it all. The Clippers are in my opinion the deepest team in the league but the Heat have a pretty good bench too.
their biggest problem is that they don't have legit defense inside. Griffin and DeAndre are decent and do some things well, but both are very flawed. They'll be among the worst interior defenses in the league, and that will be a problem in the playoffs. For instance, if they play the Grizzlies again in round 1, this time with a healthy ZBO, I'd bet on the Grizzlies. Their wild card in Blake. If he improves his jump shot / free throws, it will open up his whole game and push him to another level. I doubt it happens this year, but ... possible. At that point, I'd give them a chance vs. anyone based on offense alone.
Yes, they definitely can. Chris Paul is that good. Also they have the deepest team in the NBA---their bench demolished the Lakers bench AND the Lakers starters....while Billups/Hill aren't even back yet. Crawford was an excellent pickup, Odom could be solid actually, and Bledsoe is really talented (though he gets lost on off-ball defense, his on-ball defense is excellent). For them to be truly scary, they need: 1. Jordan to step up defensively. He gets blocks, but is actually not that great defensively, not to mention being completely lost on offense unless Chris paul is spoonfeeding him dunks. 2. Griffin to shoot better. He needs now to figure out his FT shooting and jumpers. Griffin's defense has improved, but still needs a bit of work. He's not as far off as Jordan is from where he needs to be.
