Clearly they should have traded Westbrook and resigned JHard... They got robbed.

Fire the GM that built a championship caliber team? Yeah sure, why not.

Harden is scaring me. I think he might be the second best player in the league. Right behind jeremy Lin... I mean lebron.

    Using the draft...

Uh, no. He gets a pass. He was cheap. Probably should have amnestied Perkins. Still, gets a pass.

both GMs are top 5 in my book. WB is a once in a decade athlete. You'd take a chance on WB. Both players young but I prefer harden either way. It sucks being in this situation.. But damn glad it happened the way it did!!

So stupid... Dude built that team and if his owner didn't have such a tight wallet he would've kept them all.

Owners wanted to spend, Presti was the guy who said we gotta deal him.

Presti's gonna take a lot of flak for this, but that was the correct move, apart from dealing WB and keeping Harden instead. Nobody has 4 max players on their team, and OKC already had 2 max guys and a near max guy on he roster. If all four of them took a sizeable discount prior to resigning maybe they would have kept all 4.

They're gonna be people who'll say keep the core intact 1 more year then deal with RFA, but with Harden looking for his money I don't think he'd be ok with playing from bench and continuing his glue guy on steroids role. He'd just be a distraction, and OKC wouldn't have fetched as high a price for him. Theoretically, with Harden moping about and if Kmart blew up during the season (he was scoring 20+ pts a game during the preseason), its highly doubtful they would have pried the lottery pick from us if Harden was traded mid-season.

Wait a second, are you suggesting that the GM decided he needed to be traded on what seemed like financial grounds even though the owner was ok with paying the luxury tax?

No way they will fire him. He is still the darling GM of OKC. But imagine what their roster would be if they traded Westbrook for Lin, Lamb + Picks?

    C - Perkin
    PF- Ibaka
    SF- Durant
    SG- Harden
    PG- Lin

Young roster with lot of potential for multi championships. It's like Rockets upgrading Parsons with Durant and PPat with Ibaka. Both G's are selfless and great playmakers. This is the kind of lineup Morey would assemble. I have no doubt a stats geek like DM would trade Westbrook instead of Harden.
