that the debut CD of Zwan is released! Now some of you might be sitting there thinking, "Who in the hell or what in the hell is Zwan?" Zwan is a band made up of Chicago rockers including: A Perfect Circle bassist, Paz Lenchantin Slint/Tortoise guitarist, Dave Pajo Smashing Pumpkins drummer, Jimmy Chamberlain Skunk guitarist, Matt Sweeney and of course singer/guitarist Billy Corgan!! Sweeney actually played drums (I think) on some of the tracks on "Adore". I pre-ordered it off Amazon and it should be here (hopefully) by the end of this week. After 2 or 3 good listens through it, I'll give a review about it. I haven't been this excited about a new CD release in a long time, well probably not since Coldplay's CD!!
I will probably pick this up also, really liked the first single "Honestly". Loved the last few albums of Smashing Pumpkins and this album should be great!
speaking of coldplay...i'm going to the concert in on wednesday in Austin. woooooo! Chris Martin is god.
I picked it up this morning and have been playing it today. I'm liking it so far, very good stuff. It seems more upbeat than the Pumpkins stuff was.
Manny, I am disappointed. Honsestly, "Honestly" blows major chunks!!! This song doesn't hold a candle to most of the Smashing Pumpkins stuff.
OK Manny, answer this question honestly... If you were in a room with a beautiful, nekkid woman and this new CD you're talking about, and you had to choose between having sex with this beautiful woman as many times as you wanted to for the rest of your life or never being able to listen to this new CD for the rest of your life, which one would you pick? :::crosses fingers:::
I like Tool, and Audioslave. Will somebody watch this movie, and tell me what song is at the end? I'm dying to know. It sounds kind of like Tool but it's not. http://www2.mythica.org/halo/hbo/Halo_Seven.mov
I don't know Manny. This woman sounds pretty sketchy. You don't know where she's been! Also, I figured you'd know this. When does the new Massive Attack come out?
Train, It would be great for like the first 10 or 15 times, but there is more to life than f*cking. When I listen to Corgan's music, I hear things that I didn't realize before or heard the last time. That is greatness and it also is timeless. So draw your own conclusion on what my "decision" would be. DC, I know that they are supposed to release a new CD, but it has been a while since I have been to their official website. The last I read they kept having some delays, so who knows.
I just listened to this CD (got it along with 9 other CDs) and it was pretty good but I will really need to have it sink through by giving it 2 or 3 more listens. DC, Found out about Massive Attack's new CD....coming out on February 11. Here is more info: This CD along with Radiohead's new one (have no idea when that one is coming out) are being eagerly anticipated by me.
