You, my friend are truly an @$$ for putting that face in front of me a second time! Remember we have Limas Sweed on board, and stole Tyrell Gatewood. From what I hear, that is one of the issues that played into Sutton's decision.
FWIW- The Insider has the receivers ranked as follows. Sutton 37th ranked, 3/5 stars Sweed 27th ranked, 4/5 stars Gatewood 20th ranked, 4/5 stars Though its a long shot, still on the radar for Texas are: Whitney Lewis - Ventura, Ca., ranked 1st, 5/5 stars -Florida State, USC, Arizona State, Miami (Fl), Oregon, Texas Steve Smith - Woodland Hills, Ca., ranked 6th, 5/5 stars -Tennessee, USC, Michigan, Texas
I wasn't too upset about the KU game. Collison and Hinrich are both seniors, playing at home. It's only one Big 12 loss and if UT beats OSU Saturday they'll still be in first. No big deal.
At OU would certainly make it a big one. Before you start thinking "its a Horn, he wants us to get beat." I typically pull for the Ags if they are playing any out of state team. Add to that I hate everything that is OU, I just do not think A&M will have enough from the starters or depth to beat OU at this time. Fart. Is there any TV coverage of the game?
Heh, a simple "no frickin' way" would have been just fine. When it comes to Aggie basketball, I don't get too defensive. I believe it's on ESPN2 at 6:00.
It will be on the radar of things to check out for sure. I won't necessarily say that b/c you guys have some pretty good players the problem is getting them to play together, and I think the coaches need to light a little fire under them (though it sounds like it, this is not an assessment taken from what the Rockets need). To me, UT has been ranked a little higher than they should be but OU? They just are not striking me as a top 10 team at all. You guys have been doing a great job of getting top talent to come there or at least take a long look, that may be a good thing for the near fututre.
You just talked out of your ass. Mouton is the vocal leader of this team and has hit plenty of big shots. He wasn't the only one that screwed up, just the only one with a highlight. Watch a little more Texas basketball before you make b.s. claims like this one.
Dude just because I have a life doesn't mean I don't watch plenty of Texas Basketball, its really the only college team I have time to watch. Cuttino Mobley is a vocal leader for the Rockets and has hit some big shots so I guess he never screws up.
To me, UT has been ranked a little higher than they should be but OU? They just are not striking me as a top 10 team at all. Maybe you didn’t catch the win over UCONN, who was top 3 at the time and number 12 now, in which they had a 30 point lead. Or one of the greatest defensive battles ever, where they almost beat top 10 OSU AT HOME. It's only one Big 12 loss and if UT beats OSU Saturday they'll still be in first. No big deal. Or 4th, depending on which way you look at it.
Great, were up 30 and went 11 straight possessions without scoring. That sounds like a solid team!! Losing McGhee was big and I think OU is over rated. Hell I said going in I think Texas is ranked too high. For the record, that great UConn team soon after loss to NC & Miami back to back. Jeezuz... that is awesome. You actually played a road game? That is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in a while. After tonight you will have played 17 games and only 3 on the road. Get back to me in a little over 2 weeks after OU plays 4 games on the road.
For the record, that great UConn team soon after loss to NC & Miami back to back. You called them great, not me. When Texas beats someone of their caliber, feel free to let me know. Losing McGhee was big Hate to say it, but.......duh. He was one of the top big men in the country at the end of last year, of course losing him is big. But with the emergence of Kevin Bookout, I'm not too worried about OU's inside game. After tonight you will have played 17 games and only 3 on the road. It's actually 11 and 6. Texas has played 9 home games and 7 road games. Sure looks like a huge difference to me!
Why do people always insist on blaming losses on one particular player? Brandon Mouton is a nice college player that happened to have a turnover at a very inopportune time. But to blame the loss on him is ridiculous. That, by the way, was one of the best college games this year and we just happened to be on the losing end. Win or lose-you do it as a team! If you've ever played organized sports you should know this.
I guess they're just used to blaming games on Chris Simms, and since he's gone now and it's basketball season..... Anyway, about the game: I seriously thought Texas would win, and actually wanted them(GASP) to win at halftime(when i started watching). But I wanted to see them lose, well, for selfish reasons Enough of that babbling......2 great teams played, and the one that had senior leadership won. If only KU had Simien.....
Hey, I wanna join in on the fun! I just got some great Senior Bowl shots in. If you're feeling down, Longhorns fans, here's a niiiiiiiiice shot of Chris Simm's INT during the Senior Bowl. <img src="http://image1ex.villagephotos.com/pubimage.asp?id_=1460780" width=276 height=224>
Imagine that, a Sooner who can't count! You have played 3 road games. The other 3 non-home games were at a neutral site.
Texas is ranked right around where they should be. After Arizona it's all a crapshoot anyway, and that Missouri team we beat is a quality club. Btw who calls a carrying violation in that situation? Seriously.
