I dont even know whos a rocket player no more. Everybody is new except parson. The good I see is that we dont have 2 guards with defensive liability. Martin and lamb wouldnt cut it on defense with lin at point. We would have got raped. Good signing but would prefer keeping lamb and the picks and rebuild. They can keep martin, he will probably play hard under his last year of his contract.

Yeah but if we make the playoffs then that's just a low first rounder so whatever, are you gonna complain about a low first rounder? Also, that trade has nothing to do with this one. so I don't get it why people are including it into the trade analysis.

LOL so basically you're saying OKC would give us Harden for only Martin? Maybe we can get Lebron and Drummond for Parsons and Ppat next

Bowen is right. I really think Kevin's scoring ability is going to help OKC. A win-win deal I guess.

I have to wonder now if Jeremy Lamb was drafted all along to be used as trade bait. I never thought of him as a "Morey" pick.

Give him away for free. Rebuild.

Trading Lamb was a mistake... Also, all that for a possible rental? Why?

Given the Max rules, I don't like our odds of landing a true max player via FA. If we already had another superstar, I'd love the move. Problem is we don't, and I think it hurts us from ever having that star.

We would either need DMo/Jones/White to turn into something special, get extremely lucky, or be those mid-2000s Pistons teams.

Slept on it, and now I'm really excited. The trade was fair for both sides and I can't wait to see who we can get this summer.

It isn't a rental. Harden is signing an extension.

this . people make it sound like we're gonna get the next Jordan or the next Olajuwon with those picks. but in fact, there's higher chance that you'll get the next Krame Brown .

Its a good trade for both. OKC got some nice pieces because they got 2 low lotto guys to round out their depth in the future. Harden's a good player but with KD, WB and Ibaka already on the squad how much talent do you really need?

Its a good trade for both short and long term, short term you get Kmart to offset Harden's offense, long term you can develop Lamb to complement WB and KD. I guess they did the trade now because they want to avoid distractions coming from a restricted player, Harden wouldn't be that focused since he's playing for a contract and could detract from the squad.

I don't care about the pick, just correcting your statement. I think we make the playoffs.

Well my point was we get our pick if it was a lotto pick, that's really all that mattered when it comes to picks right now for our team, so technically the pick is still ours if it has value. If its a low first rounder then nobody really cares about it anymore since we're stocked on that kind of talent.

I'm kind of skeptical on the trade. Knowing the Rockets luck, Lamb will become just as good of a player as Harden is, maybe better. That's dreaming though. I'm glad we got rid of Martin but I'm still kind of confused on what picks we traded.

Busts like Kwame are less likely. Your most likely outcome is a good player, if you actually pick #1.

Funny one of the first things that I often do in 2k12 dynasty mode is to trade Kevin Martin and a bunch of stuff for Harden.

Always laughed at game AI for accepting the trade, never thought it can happen in real life:eek:
