+1. Kanter / Favors = joy to watch right now. I'd take a leap of faith with these guys and find them big minutes. Millsap will and should stay, imo. But they need to find a taker for Jefferson. He makes the least sense there. Sadly, I doubt there's a huge market for Jefferson.
Think that was about right. So you're telling me the Lakers right now would do better with Pau than w/ Goran (a VERY solid PG), Scola (a workhorse with 10X the grit of Pau), and Martin (the perfect backup sparkplug at the SG). That trade would've shored up ALL of the Lakers' weaknesses. Face it, Pau's no longer an elite big. If you're gonna get out played and out worked by the likes of Griffin and Cousins on a regular basis, you don't deserve to be called elite. My point, like it or not, is that Kobe's floor presence alone makes the Lakers more motivated. Without him, MWP doesn't stay with the program, Pau plays like a lazy b****, and Howard doesn't focus.
They just showed Scola shooting around in his Suns warmups. It looks disgusting seeing him in another team's colors, but I guess it had to be done.
So the Hornets just beat the Heat with LBJ and Wade and we just beat the Hornets a couple weeks ago. Probably a knee jerk reaction but it makes me happy nonetheless.
It means that our scrubbish team was playing hard for no reason and they were playing it safe for smart reasons. Everybody knows pre-season games are for the scrubs to battle it out for the best bench warming spots.
Heat will be a 65 win team. Hornets beat the Heat. We beat the Hornets. Only logical conclusion: We will win more than 65 games.
Come on now, preseason is a joke, Lakers..Heat..OKC, these teams know they will be in the playoffs at the end of the season. For us we need every win we can get, preseason or regular season. We need to boost the confidence of some of these young guys. I would be happy with a team that hustles and shows improvement game to game...30 Wins would be good and get us some decent positioning in next year's draft.
