does anyone think that yao's FG% is down may cause by the increasing strength on his arms and other parts of his upper body? i mean this guy add 10 lb in 3 month, all those muscles he's getting must changed his shootting touch somehow. if u watched recent games, yao missed some shots in the point-blind range, and i don't think that just becouse he is tired.
I think he might just be so surprised that it is finally his turn to touch the ball and he's a little nervous. I mean 8.8 avg shot per game is just not enough to get comfortable and about half of those shot attempts come of rebounds.A lot of players in this league arent even warmed up until they had 10 shots.
I'm not sure how professionals do it, but when I lift weights, I lose touch on my shots completely. Especially if I first started lifting weights. I don't have the feel for my shots like before. What's really bad is when I lift weights a few hours before shooting or playing a game.
dont ever workout before shooting or playing basketball, well i mean i dont mean it like that, but working out compresses the muscles and you wont be able to shoot again haha, unless you like shooting air balls i agree w/ 1st post though
