As a long time fan of Rockets, I will here provide some info about those two young chinese centers.
    A:

    Ming Yao: 20years old 7'4" (2.27m) 123kg ,center.
    Comments form me:
talented young boy with both quickness and height, can shot the ball well, has the sence of this game. Not strong enough currently, for he is only 20.

    B:
    Zhizhi Wang:21 years old,7'1"(2.15m)100 kgs / 220 lbs C/PF
    Comments from me:
No1 scorer in China Team, more skilled than Yao,quicker footworks ,better outside shooter than Yao.

    Comments from media:
FROM NBC on the game between US and China in Sydney-
Gary Payton said. “What surprised us was the three big guys. If they had stayed out of foul trouble they might have made a run at us.”
“I’m surprised they’re not in our league yet,” Kevin Garnett said. “To be so skilled, not just playing with their backs to the basket, it leads you to wonder why they’re not in our league.”

Rudy knows them and David Stern talked about
them with the leader of China Olympic Represents Group last week regarding the possibility of playing NBA games in China
and encouraging Yao and Wang playing in NBA.

    My opnion is :
Since Wang was selected by Dallas ,it is said that he can not play for other NBA team
    for years, so leave him.
Yao is definately better than Murasun(?),
he has already been a star in China, he is eager to join NBA,you wants talent? He is one. every coachs whose team played China talked about him, although this young man could not bring China Team more victorys.
Rockets can get him for virtually nothing,
I am not expecting another Hakeem, but I thinks he may be better than Rik Smith.

    For your informations only.

From what I saw the other day when China upset Italy both Ming and Zhi-Zhi have height and to an extent talent. Zhi-Zhi is in that new tall SF mold as he is quick and was hitting some good shots. Too skinny for PF in the NBA. Ming is even taller and a bit bulkier too. I've never seen Bradley or Gheorge in the flesh but I would feel confident in saying that he is quicker than them. He didn't have great hands and was made to look uncoordinated a few times but I guess all 7 footers have that problem.

As far as other teams I have seen go, I like Kirlenko from Russia. I've watched him 3 or 4 times now and his speed and hops are very good. A few months back I saw him make a steal from an inbounds pass and then after dunk it and then kick the glass while he was up there. He's got range too but is a rake. anyway the Jazz own him so hopefully he'll stay in Russia.

As for Vince, I hope you guys get to see it. Everyone over here is bagging NBC about their coverage but they'd wanna show this dunk.

I think it is important to note that Yao Ming said that his favorite player is Hakeem Olajuwon. He said that he admired his skills and moves and hoped to model his game on Hakeem.

I read this on a website where they were giving a preview of the Olympics.

I saw both Yao Ming and Wang Zhi-Zhi play against the US these Olympics and can saw that given good training and if they add some serious muscle...these are the guys to beat. They already have the game in them, all they need is our NBA coaches to bring out the best in them.

I say...lets get Yao Ming. He idolizes Hakeem..we can't go wrong.

What is this a guessing game??

Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures.

Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, but it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and pimp-slap the mother****** upside the head!

If we sing Crisco, this team will go to hell in a hand basket. JUST SAY NO TO CRISCO!

    Did somebody say Leon Smith?

Leon Smith is a head case, and will screw up the chemistry of the Rockets. We don't need him distracting our youngins!!

I think Sundov will end up in Indiana.
