What an insightful thread. I am more in the "Steve-will-never-get-it" school. I hate to say this, but Steve doesn't seem like a smart enough ball player to me. I think deep inside he knows what is the right thing to do, but his IQ can't help him out. Being an out-towner and a converte Rox fan, I have watched limited Rox games. To me, SF is not the kind of selfish player who wouldn't give up the ball, he just doesn't know when to give up and where to give up. This strikes me the most when he runs a fast break where he tends to give up the ball a bit too early. To me multiple failures in the playoff won't help Steve get it since his not-getting-it is not because of his attitude. The bottom line is in order for the Rockets to "get it", we can't let Steve make a lot of decisions on court. Trading Steve will never bring back even value, so that's not a possibility. I am wondering whether we can run some kind of triangle offense so the burden of decision making is distributed among the players on court. Another possibility is to bring some Eric Snow to bring the ball up the court (this has been brought up millions of times over here I guess ). I am also wondering do you hard-core Rockets fans still hate Pippen so much? Can we bring him in next season? Shrimpie
The whole world know what is wrong with the Houston Rockets except the Houston Rockets. Its the talk of the town ..on Tv, radio, everywhere you go... It is punishment watching the Rockets play on Leasgue pass.... Pass da Damn freakin ball, and set up players..
