Sign and trade SF and MT for Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. Duncan is better than SF overall and Parker at least is a decent PG. That on paper is a fair trade although the Rox would have the better end of it.

Mobley goes to 6th Man but I know he will become a locker-room whiner so let's ship his butt off to whoever. Maybe we can get Dickerson back. I don't care!

I'd also resign Posey to a 3-4 yr deal. Keep Rice. Team becomes:

    Duncan Griffin
    Rice Morris
    Ming Cato
    Posey Nachbar
    Parker Norris

Duncan and Ming will co-exist and terrrorize the league for the next decade and win 6-8 titles.

I hope CD and Les is reading this and make this happen. I'd take a punt if it means winning 6-8 titles. And it will stamp out iso BS along the way. WOo HOoO!!!

Yeah, I second that. We shouldn't separate the twin brothers. Besides, they both piss me off.

I don't think you are serious about trading Steve Francis. Yes he's a very flawed PG but I can't ever see us getting equal value for him should we trade him because honestly there are not many great PGs around in this league. Currently, the only PGs I want to run my team are Kidd, Nash or Bibby. But as their teams are doing so well, I can't see them make a trade with us, even it's someone as talented as Francis.

And trading Mobley wouldn't solve our fundatmental problem either because the PG is still Francis and the one who runs the team and makes decision is still Francis. So the problem still exists.

It's a sad situation really but I think the best method right now is to get a new coach who can control our guards, someone who can teach team how to run a team properly, someone who can change the selfish mentality of our guards. See Hubie with Jason Williams, it can be done. Well maybe we still want to keep Rudy at the moment. Then please get an assistant who can control our guards for him.

    Another possibility: Yao Ming.

    Why?
    1. Rockets does not use him too much other than defensive weapons. Yao for a good PF package will help Rockets.
    2. Rudy is loyal to the guards. I'm not convinced one of the guards whom Rudy trusts will get traded.
    3. Rockets team has been deeply entrenched in the guards-oriented play. I give up to the idea that this can be changed by Rudy T.

    Third option:

Trade Rudy and $8 million for John Gruden.

Come to think of it, a John Gruden is just what this mindless, immature bunch needs ;)

    :)

Youngest coach ever to win the Super Bowl in his first season with this team. That is an excellent job.

In the NBA, can you trade coaches for players?

TIM DUNCAN AND TONY PARKER FOR STEVE FRANCIS AND MAURICE TAYLOR?!?!?! You must be kidding. That would be really stupid. I would love Tim Duncan. But do you think the Spurs would give up Duncan. Poppovich's life is based on Tim Duncan.

Lamar Odom? Wasn't he injured recently? I want Elton Brand!

Either both of the guards go or they both stay. But if we had to trade one, I would trade Cuttino Mobley. Steve is our franchise.

One of these two have to go. I voted for Cat because I believe he is getting in the way of Steve. Not because I want Steve to play at the two but because Steve has eyes only for Cuttino. This bond they have is nice but it is keeping the rest of our players from maturing on the court. It's tough to pass the ball when you know you aren't getting it back. Also, I am adamently opposed to trading for players from teams that always lose. Say no to any player from the Clips, Warriors, and Grizzlies. Once a loser, always a loser. look at Mo if you don't agree. Well, sort of. I would take Brand because of his pedigree and intensity.

I wouldn't trade either. Maybe their roles need a little tweaking, and maybe they shouldn't be on the court together as much, but I want both (selfish me :) ).

That being said... I'd trade Francis over Mobley. Mobley gives less to's, and much better D (along with that, he's getting much better at passing and assists). Without Francis, Mobley may become an even more efficient scorer. But everybody's been whining about the lack of entry passes and basically total lack of passes. The solution should be to get a pg that knows and will create the entry pass, and one who doesn't score a lot, but takes care of the ball really well as well as playing decent D (Eric Snow and Daniels comes to mind, maybe Parker?, don't know about Snow's entry passing though). Basically the anti-Francis?

Mobley shoulders some blame for ppl's frustration, but Francis should probly bear the brunt of it. As for the idea of moving Francis to the 2.. no way. No D, height disadvantage, and dislike of playing the 2. All factors that point to disaster. Mobley is a much better 2 than Francis would be, and he fits the definition of a 2 better anyways.

I couldn't read past that. When was the last time you saw Cat pass the ball?

If I had to chose I'd say trade Cat but I think if we had a veteran point to back up Stevie (Avery Johnson, Mark Jackson type), he could tutor Steve on the art of distribution.

Cat' definitely. I don't have much of a problem with Steve. He gets selfish sure but at least he's a better scorer. Mobley just dribbles up the court and shoots whenver he feels like it. Two's three's, it doesn't matter. Only time he passes is when he doesn't have a shot, or picks and rolls so that he can score. i used to think Sam Casell was a ball-hog, but Cuttino is a trip for sure. He literally gave the Mavs and the Bulls their win. He should have multiple jerseys hanging in his locker.

Either Cat moves to the 6th man role or he has got to go.

No player has ever been more frustrating to watch than CAT. I think the SA game last week was the perfect example. We gith back into the game thanks to MO TAYLOR, who is making everything in site.... we actually get the lead, then CAT decides he HAS to get his shot, and proceeds to shoot us out of the game.

His defense is nice, but it doesn’t offset what an absolute selfish player he is. I cant recall any Rocket whoever put their own personal STATS ahead of the team more than CAT.

I would gladly trade cat for a bucket of cut up range balls just so we didnt have to watch him single handily sabotage wins anymore.

Now if you could get him to come off the bench, and provide some offense in spurts or lock down another teams 2G, than I would be happy to keep him around… Of course he is WAY to concerned about getting his “numbers” to sacrifice for the team.

Plus I doubt Rudy even has the sack to ask Cat to come off the bench. I always liked Rudy, but it seems sometimes like he is more worried about the players liking him, than he is winning.
