I agree with the ideas of Crash 5719. I feel that we are in dire need of a leader. I don't feel that SF is the guy to lead us, and that's OK. You can still be a stud without being a leader. We need a guy that can get everyone on the same page in crunch time - playing B-ball the way it is supposed to be played with ball movement, help defense, and feeding the hot hand. I have a couple of ideas, some of which have already been mentioned, to help us find a more mature palyer that can help get us over the hump.

    Trade 1

Brand and Piakowski for EG and Cato

why - gives us a low post presence that could help settle the team during runs where motion isn't working, plus brand plays good postion defense which EG has trouble with against stronger players. Cato gives them a center for when Kandi bolts and allows them to resign Odom(the owners favorite player) and Miller- PG are hard to find.

    Trade 2

EG, Cato, and Moochie for Abdur-Rahim and Emanual Davis

why- Atlanta had talent but are playing well together. SAR is playing out of position at the 4. This trade give them a young up and coming 4 and true center and a point that they need until Dickau is ready. Davis gives us a decent backup and a guy that can post up small forwards to give us a go to guy in crunch time. SAR used to give us fits and he is less proven then Brand, but I think that this improves both teams.

    Trade 3 (the dream trade)

KG for Rice, Cato, Mobley, Moochie, and EG plu 2 first round draft choices.

why- Minnesota is NOT going to improve the way they are. They have no draft choices for 3 more years, too far over the cap to bring in any real talent, and don't have enough help for KG. This trade gives them the ability to move Wally to SF (his true position in the NBA as he isn't quick enough to guard SGs), a potential superstar in EG, a true center who is better then what most have, Rice for salary purposes, a decent PG, a bargain good SG and 2 draft choices to replace the ones they lost. When Rice comes the books they will have some cap flexibilty.

It give us a guy that can take us where we all want go, back to the playoffs, and this team would scare anyone in the west to death. I know this trade seems like a dream, but if both sides looked into the mirror I think that they would see this as mutually beneficial.

    Minn

    Hudson/Moochie/Strickland
    Mobley/Peeler
    Wally/Rice
    EG/Joe Smith
    Cato/Nesterovic/Jackson

Improves team D, overall athletecism, and give them 2 first round picks

    Houston

SF/Maddox/whoever we can sign for depth Tierre or someone for the CBA or NBDL
    Posey/Hawkins
    KG/Nachbar/Morris
    Mo T/Morris/Collier
    Ming/Collier

KG makes Mo T a better player because he is an excellent rebounder and defensive palyer to help with Mo T's short comings, and give us a serious leader that we can count on in crunch time. Posey goes to the 2 - great D and a horse to get out on the break. Collier is a decent back up at the 4&5 and Morris gives us depth at the 3&4. VERY SCARY!

I know that KG makes a lot of $$$, but I would think that he would understand that it takes help to win and this team would provide the help he needs. I think Les would go over the cap and pay the tax for this team because it would win and win big, which fills the seat - i.e. increased revenue.

Totally agree on this one. I think Payton would be thrilled to play with a real center as well.
