I've lost two immediate family members to cancer, and any cancer reference in this isn't offensive in the least. It wouldn't be offensive if he said that Romnesia was like a dangerous and deadly cancer. It would have been odd, but not really offensive. It just seems strange that that the party that thinks everything is too PC regarding race is now making an issue over a possible reference to cancer.

I think Greenwald has more than a couple of fans on this board. This is his pre-debate tease, and musings during the debate. Overall he was very disappointed with how much Gov.Romney agreed with the president. The quote of the article for me was:

Huh? Romney was referring to the Mediterranean Sea, accessible from western coastline of Syria. Iran's pumped tons of resources into Syria and is in the process of building a military base there. Alternatives to the south would be foolish, and considering the geographic location of Israel, the Syrian avenue makes the most sense for Iran. Southern sea routes are heavily guarded by US military, as seen below:
