Line was niners -8...sf gets a safety with 40 seconds to go and coach declines so he can kneel and run out the clock and hawks cover...wtf

I'd say pretty rigged. The Texans should still have a perfect record.

maybe the coach didnt want to risk a onside kick or a fumble during the kick.
it was just better to kneel down, if the seahawks would have made the 1st down, the 49ers would have accepted the safety. or if it was a 3rd down instead of a 4th down.

Maybe the casinos lost a lot of money.

    You don't know.

if you decline the penalty, the game is over without risking running another play where a player could be injured or something crazy happening. there would be absolutely no reason to accept the penalty

I got 7 so it pushed, but if its a safety then you have to punt and you cant do a onside kick so harbaugh explanation makes no sense.

Why worry about a punt when you can just kneel and end the game?

There'll still be about 7-8 unnecessary player collisions in that punt. Strength of victory means nothing, get the W and start recuperating your stud RB. That was a physical game from two teams who pride themselves on violent play and one less chance of injury matters more than 2 points.

On onside punt after a safety is legal. Harbaugh chose to just end it quickly.

I had the same thought initially. Makes for a good conspiracy theory considering what the line was.

The casino's adjust the line to have equal bets on both sides. That is why the line varies from bookie to bookie They make money on the vig. They could care less who wins unless a few people bet BIG for one team and throws off the balance.

Harbaugh hates Vegas with a passion, hates gambling, it runs in his family. The 49ers have been covering all year so last week he made an effort not to cover and has continued to do so this week and will continue to do so all year. He wants to watch all of your worlds burn.

Harbaugh hates Pete Carrol more than he hates gambling. he made the wrong call last night and it cost me $$

Actually it was the right call. And that whole Harbaugh spiel was made up - obviously.
