Maybe because I haven't frequented these boards much over the years outside the NBA and Rockets section and am still learning board etiquette.
Anyways, while most have answered undoubtedly free will alone, I can say as someone who feels a certain sense of destiny over their life that pre-destination is there to an extent. But that's not something that can really translate to your mindset if you can't relate.
Why do you choose to react in the way you do? Was it because of the things you've experienced? Your genes? Where you were born? The values instilled to you by your parents? None of those things were your choice. Some kind of "soul" given to you by your God? That doesn't sound like a choice you made either.
Free Will 100% How do you explain the horrible things that some people do? Lets take a murderer for example. If it is pre-determined from birth that someone becomes a killer, then how can anyone find that person at fault for his killing? They were just following the script that (insert deity of choice) laid out for them. We make our own choices and we are responsible for them.
Thinking about this on a large time-frame, we're all pre-destined to die, obviously. So, I'd say we have free will during our short flash-in-the-pan, but nothing we do is going to change the fate of the universe on the cosmic time frame.
There is always a possibility that we can lengthen the lifespan of the average human being substantially in a future where technology/medicine allows us to. Also, for the sake of my sanity, I HAVE to believe in 100% free will.
Even if we are able to lengthen our lifespan, that wouldn't remotely compare to the vast time horizons of the cosmos. My answer is pretty much 'none of the above'.
