I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I know i've seen plenty of threads with Empire Records as their favorite movies and stuff.

I was watching Empire Records last night on VH1, and it was at the scene where the boy is using a magnet, and is jumbling up the thing on the cd. And that one guy catches him and they run around. But it's that part after that.

I noticed a Rocket in the background. It was a blue rocket. It even was smiling like our very own Houston Rockets Logo. If you have the movie, check that out and comfirm. I thought that was neat.

If there is no blue Rocket with a red mouth, and white teeth, then I am dreaming or something.

    It was.

But i just find it weird that something like that predates it.
I think the movie was made in 1992.

    irrelevant sidenote:

"empire records" and "scary movie 2" were the only 2 movies I have ever watched that I could not bear to finish after starting them.

i don't get how that movie acquired "cult classic" status.

    just an opinion.

    Indeed.

Empire Records is by far the worst movie of all time. (relative to it's status quo)

Nothing with Rene Zellweger and Liv Tyler in really, really short skirts could possibly be the worst ever anything.

Don't forget that Liv Tyler actually strips down to her skivies at some point, as well.
