LA, SA, Dallas, Sac, New Jersey, those teams would be favourites to win the championship THIS YEAR, however those are the top 6 teams in the NBA and they would be in contention regardless.

Of the other teams in the NBA, the only team that would join the above mentioned 6 would be....

Utah, if they had YAO, they would be overwhelming favourites IMO, maybe that should be a pointer to how to utilise YAO the best. And also the type of players to surround YAO, and remember LA did not win the championship until they traded away EDDIE JONES and NICK VAN EXCEL and ELDEN CAMPBELL.

SAC if they win it, will look on getting DOUG Christie as the turning point for their franchise, the defensive mindset that is brought.

THE best trade to make for HOUSTON is, to get Matt HARPRING, even overpay to get him.

Are you suggesting us to trade Yao Ming to Utah to get Matt Harpring?

    Harpring for Yao?

Christie is the King's franchise player?

no, to complement yao ming, if you watch harpring, he averages high teens in points yet he cannot create his shot, all his points are on hussle points and assists, he would be perfect complement to a passing post presence

Christie is not the franchise player but his defensive presence is what makes the kings the defensive team they are, just as Divac is not the franchise player but is the leader of the Kings because his unselfishness rubs off on all the players.

No thanks. Harpring get pts through a good structured offensive system at Utah and with a PG like Stockton. He wouldn't look so good playing elsewhere, especially at a team like us.

err, nobody moves off the ball when yao has it, except maybe moochie, sometimes, harpring would set a good example for others by moving off the balland getting buckets. He could have a christie like, effect on the rockets

ummm......The Lakers did not start winning until Kobe grew up and Shaq started playing a team game. The only reason they got rid of those players is because of the salary cap. The 3 players that u mentioned demand $$$$. LA didn't have it after 2 max contracts.
