People complain about Yao not getting enough shots, but why should he shoot the ball when he looks like slow shawn bradley wanna-be out on the floor like he has lately? Its embarrassing to even watch him now. He's getting blocked by everyone and has no strength or speed going to his moves...hell he's even getting out rebounded by 6'6" guys because he can't jump and he doesn't have the strength to hold on to the ball when he does get close to it.

Yao really had me excited early in the season, but he has completely regressed into a less than shawn bradley player and I ,for one, am embarrassed to see him on the allstar team with his recent display on the basketball court.

NO ALL STAR SHOULD HAVE STRETCHES LIKE THIS!

It only makes sense to get in better shape the more you exercise and play basketball...he's done just the opposite.

Even in the beginning of games, when he is his freshest, he looks slow and lethargic, almost disintersted. Steve is NOT going to pass him the ball if he's going to get it blocked by wallace or Lafrentz just 1 foot from the basket! Hell steve could do that himself! As much as people bash steve, and I've done it too, I'm glad he doesn't give Yao the ball too much now, as it is just an embarrassment to see how horribly weak Yao looks in the post. It lets the team down and makes us look weak in the paint.

Yao is NOT a consistent post player anymore and can't dominate ANYONE in the paint. So why give him more shots? So he can get another layup swatted by someone a foot shorter?!?!

I am completely letdown with Yao's lack of passion. I thought he would start steppin up after his throw down on Theo Ratliff, but he's gone in the opposite direction. Maybe Rudy shouldn't have benched him after the incident, just so Yao knew how he SHOULD be playing...instead Rudy punished him. Rudy's fault? Probably.

Hell, bash me if you want, but Yao is REALLY letting this team down as well as his Chinese fans. If he is really just tired he NEEDS to sit so he will stop embarrassing himself and hurting our team.

rudy t. must go. it is obvious that this team is going nowhere. he is not making it easier for the players esp. yao. i am sick and tired of seeing too much dribbling, too much one-on-one, too much standing around. players who are not making any contributions is being kept on the game. isn't that is why you have 12 players on the team. mobley is not having a good night. why not use nachbar?

    hmmm, I don't know.

One thing I know. Yao Ming is apperantly too small to be seen by Mobley. He never, ever pass it to Yao Ming, on the roll, while he can find Cato in traffic and TMorris in the corner fine.

Yao is playing like a dog (cut back on the commercials kid) and RudyT has no control over this team. That about says it all, thank you.

yao is not a bust! HE IS TIRED. give him a break. the longest he has played in a season in china is 35 games. the culprit is rudy t. he is simply misusing him. he is not making it easier for yao to get easy basket.

They simply did not play as a team.

I will not bash you since I am not satisfied with Yao's this kind
of performance at all as you do.
Let us analyse Rox's problem together, if it is Yao, remove him
    from starting lineup.
But Chinese fans and Yao would not let the team down, don't
blame us for lacking of notion of team!

Maybe my wording is bad...I mean to say that Yao's play is letting down this team...and his play is also letting down all the Chinese fans that are supporting him.

if we can call that offense. you are right. he is supposed to be the scorer. but he is not the same after the injury. rice is old and worn out. they need another scorer. francis is great. do not get me wrong. but i think he commits a hell lot of TO esp. at the end of the game. too erratic for a leader. mobley is simply a ball-hog. mobley's teammate is the basket. and when you have a coach that just let the players do their thing...it will be out of control. the only good thing to see is posey. he does a lot of intangibles and scores, rebounds too.

look at the bright side...if the rockets miss the playoffs again, maybe alexander will finally fire rudy t. NEW COACH, NEW ARENA, NEW UNIFORM and another new player from the lottery. maybe then we'll get in the playoffs.

The rockets are getting horrible to watch. My blames go to:

    1. Rudy T. Where is the offensive scheme? No control on your players, mainly guards!
    2. Mobley is the cancer! I cann't stand this guy! In the four quarter he shot so many freaking long jumpers, with no rockets near the board for rebound. Not a single pass to Yao on the PnR!
    3. Francis is not a PG! How many times do you have to drive to the hole for a TO, poor shot, poor pass with no clock left?
    4. Yao is obviously hitting a rookie wall bigger than the Great Wall of China! He cann't put the ball in the hole from a few feet away! He cann't jump, cann't rebound, cann't even shoot free-throws. However, I partially blame reason 1-3 for his performances. Rockets are not making it easier for him to score on the offensive end. Without Yao effective, Rockets just looked like last year, lottery bound!

Yao's play? You mean the lack of plays for Yao is having adverse impact on the overall production at the offensive end.

Besides, I would not call this group of And-1 streetballers a team. Bird's Celtics was a team. Magic's Lakers was a team. This group of pretenders don't know the first thing about a team.
