That's because WVU is one of the best offenses in the country. But it does not change the fact that Marshall, James Madison, and Baylor are a few of the worst defenses. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. I'm not exactly going out on a limb saying that since we're talking about a perennial CUSA bottom feeder, an FCS school, and an Art Briles coached team. Looking at what WVU has done to those teams would not make me feel much better if I were a Longhorn.
I'll be on the edge of my seat until then! CAN'T WAIT!! Maybe by then, the Longhorns will figure out a way to use one of their 13 blue chip running backs properly...... I kid, I kid. Sort of.
I've seen you rag on him for years but we both know that you would gladly take him back in a second. Baylor doesn't have the personnel to compete with West Virginia's offense, but I think most would agree that losing by 7 to a top 10 team on the road was a commendable effort. Especially after losing their best corner early in the game.
Now that Griffin is gone, no, I wouldn't. He was great in helping revive our program, but I could only watch so much terrible defense, sloppy special teams, and penalties galore before I'd lose my mind. There are better coaches out there to be had. We already had one of them, now we need to find another.
There really hasn't been a drop-off after losing a first round QB and WR. Baylor also lost Ganaway. He recuits good to great offensive linemen as well. Kolb, Keenum, Griffin. Florence isn't his recruit but he's straight up wrecking right now. Anyway, I don't want to make this thread about Baylor. Just remember that for being such a crappy coach, Baylor is about to win its 10th out of 11th game after we beat TCU Saturday.
