I am really surprised at how well the Big Ö has passed the ball out there. McHale called him a very good passer today. Has Ömer ever shown this with the Bulls? I wonder if he'll be able to take the Chuck Hayes role and run some Adelman corner sets.
Asik is really coming into his own to me. A rebounding beast, defensive anchor, and nice and smooth passer. I'm really starting to feel good about this season. Lin-Maritn manning the backcourt, Parsons being our defensive guy at small forward with an improved offensive game, and we will get some help from our rookies that are looking like potential stars. The future looks bright Rockets fans! New Age has begun!
How about his inconsistent Hands? I predict quite a few of Lin's TO's will be due to him not being able to handle the passes.
LOL. But yes he is a really good passer we saw that with the Bulls. Guys like Ronnie Brewer passes well also who used to play for the Bulls. Omer is so nice. Love that guy.
I was thinking the same thing, In fact both Dmo and Omer are good passers and can certainly make those passes from Martin or Lamb in the high post Too bad they pretty much stopped running that after McHale got here, now it's all pickn roll and double low post
Some of the things bulls fans say is that he's good at passing but not at catching, unless it's obvious/in open. The rockets didn't bring him in as an offensive threat though. So as long has he continues to make progress and improve on the offensive end while beasting on D, i'm happy.
It's actually remarkable how many players on this team pass well, instead of being one-dimensional role players.
Big O certainly has made an impression, passing included. But, I'm not completely discounting stories of his clumsy hands just yet. If he can learn to corral the ball better with his hands, this will clearly have been the steal of the off-season. Big O for the win!
Asik dropped a few passes and the ball a few times when he was posting up, but yeah I'd say his passing is pretty good, I like his bbiq.
This guy is definitely a 7 foot tall Chuck Hayes, and it's absolutely beautiful. Imagine if we still had the Chuckwagon, that defensive frontcourt would be nuts!
