Lolwut?? He played 4 at college. Is 6'10 250lbs and physical in defence. Why on earth would he need to play as a 3?? SURE he has some 3 skills on offence, let's not forget that he also has plenty of 4 skills on offense as well. It's absolutely ideal to get a guy who defend as a 4, while being able to turn and face and score by putting the ball on the floor. It's called a mismatch! I would view Jones as a 4 and make the most of him there. Playing him at the 3 will involve him learning a new spot, and he's probably not quite athletic enough to guard the smaller 3s.
Yeah I've got to nip this in the bud right now; jones is a 4. He's 6'9.5" with a monster wingspan and a big frame. Yes he's athletic, quick, and has a perimeter game, but his natural position is PF.
Morris has also gotten very good at jumping in the passing lane. I noticed it in the training camp first. I think he got a couple of steals tonight.
He was being defended by a D-League center for all his points Also, keep in mind he went off for like 20 once last year.
I will give him lots of credit. I was there tonight at the game he looks totally different out there on court. He is very confident out there court. Too bad Thabeet had give Morris that hard foul. I hope it nothing serious because after the foul he was taken to the locker room.
You set yourself up for it And he did look generic ok, nothing more really. A 12th man in the youth movement. Looked better than Delfino who sucked hard
Yeah, Morris isn't a bust but I still think he is a offensive minded 4. Hopefully, he isn't too injured to prove me wrong over the course of the season but from what I've seen, he looks like he would be more productive as a 4.
If he gets pt at the 4.....well i Hope its at rgv agaIn...no way on earth he gonna touch the floor In front of ppat ,Jones dmo or my aunt susej.
Marcus Morris is a good scorer. I can see his confidence growing from last season. He can be a SF-PF combo player. I just hate to see him get hurt because of the reckless play from Thabeet who doesn't have any coordination when trying to go for a block and just runs through people.
He doesn't shoot better than Morris. If he settles in as a good scorer, there will definitely be room for Morris. Jones isn't likely to give you 20 pts every night.
Meh, its just one game where he knocked down a few shots. Theres still the question of defence. He doesnt seem to rebound or pass either.
Snoopy you lie to me with your inept analysis. This is Gary Forbes we talkin about here. He scored 70 points a game a while back. He's ultra versatile and never lethargic unlike Marcus Morris in games.
From what I saw tonight Marcus playing some 4 could cause a lot of mismatches cause of his quickness although he's recently slimmed down to play 3 soo.... idk.
