Do you think the Clips would consider trading Kandi in a package deal including Cato or not for that matter.I guess what I'm asking is how sold are the clips on him as their center of the future, and could we pry him away from them?I would trade them Cato,Drew,Thomas, and a pick or two for him.

I think Cato will be better than Kandi. Kandi was getting schooled all last year (especially in the rookies vs. Sophmore's game where he had to gaurd Elton Brand) while Cato was at least trying to school some people (see Shaq)

Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

kandi is a great athlete. Though, I think it is alot of media hype. I've heard things said where he is as agile as hakeem (yeah, right), and that he runs a 4.4 forty (if he runs a 4.4, I run a 4.2). I havent watched enough of him, but he seems like a fancy version of Yinka Dare.

I dont think the ROCKETS would consider trading for Kandi in a package deal including Cato or not for that matter.

I would trade them Cato,Drew,Thomas, and a pick or two for him.

That is wayy to much for Kandi. I wouldnt trade away Cato alone, much less Thomas, etc. I think most prolly, they'll give him a chance to prove himself after the hard workouts he's been having this offseason. Anyways, Kandi aint much better than Cato.

Err. I probably wouldn't even trade Cato straight up for this guy. What makes you like him? Just look at his numbers and the way Shaq humiliated him last year. At least Cato attempts to block a shot or two of Shaq's. Kandi man ran and hid in the stands.

Cato at least tried to guard Shaq, and did a pretty good job may i add.
Kandiman was more like Shaq daddys Handiman. As in handy enough to help him score 61 FREAKIN points.
Gr8 says it the best. Yinka Dare is who he reminds me off. Agile and quick? Kandi couldnt even guard Cato. He is not good rite now, and I dont think he'll ever be a superstar. But he might become a decent roll player. If he came cheap (Drew and someone crappy) I would do it, but definitely not Cato.

What is the freaking obssession with the Kandiman??? Since I live in LA, I actually watched a decent amount of Clippers games last year (unlike, I suspect, many of the folks who repeatedly insist we trade for him). And I'm telling you, the man is not the answer. He only brings it one out of every ten nights, and even when he does bring it he's barely mediocre. He's not aggressive, he doesn't have what Rudy T and co. call a "basic" (a signature move), and he's not motivated. Remember looking at Rockets' box scores in the 80's and thinking, "How can a guy who's 7'4" only get 3 rebounds?" Well, if we get Kandi, prepare to spend a whole season asking the same question of a 7'1" guy.

And no, Kandi's inability to live up to his potential is not simply because he plays for the Clippers and isn't it hard to be motivated when playing for that franchise, blah, blah. If he were a solid starter in this league, we would have seen glimpses by now.

All you need to know is that the Clips were almost always better last year with Closs in the lineup and Kandi on the bench.

Sorry if my post seemed to be jumping down your throat, SSG. There have actually been a lot of posters on this board who have suggested we go after Kandiman since midway through last season -- they've just left you to stand on your own in this thread. Didn't mean to pile on you specifically!

We dont have to "Hail Cato" either u know. How about him doing some things first. Like getting a freakin offensive move, or just showing some emotion.

Kandi is just bad. We already have an overpaid underachiever at the C spot....his name is Kelvin.

I thing Cato has a better upside, and I like that he doesn't have to have the ball to do his job. We have some good scorers, Cato is out there for other reasons.

    JUST SAY NO TO KANDI!

DON'T TAKE KANDI FROM STRANGERS...AND NO ONE IS STRANGER THAN THE CLIPPERS.
