The rebounding needs to be patched in a big way, but overall the game is pretty smooth. Motiejunas is absolutely awful, big disappointment. Morris isn't as good as last year's either. He was a beast.
Definitely this. He's rated a 59. He is incredibly slow, poor defensively (which might be spot on), terrible rebounding and can't seem to hit mid-range to 3-pt jumpers, even when wide open. Terrence Jones is even worse for me. Rockets are just plain tough to win with, which is great for me as I like the challenge. Feel like K-Mart is rated too high, while Asik is rated too low. Just to name a few issues with the ratings.
Funny how after all these years, nba 2k still cannot get the toyota center right. They have those standard grey stairs and big openings in the corners which is nothing like the real thing.
FWIW, I think this is the first year that they've been able to use the name Toyota Center. At least in the past few games, the stadium was Rockets Arena, I believe. It'll be better next year when the screen is put in. I bet if a new big screen was put in Staples, MSG, or United, it'd be in 2k13.
there is a glitch in the mycareer mode where you can get unlimited skill points after your rookie showcase
create your rookie during the rookie showcase before the draft-- do horribly you have to end up with negative points once your teammate grade has been correlated with your team grade. During the game, once your teammate grade is D or F-- PS3- click ps button and sign out of the 2k servers with the game on pause XBox- unplug your internet. Finish the game, even though your vc points + team grade should equal a negative number. Its still going to say zero. Go through the interviews and get selected. Once you are selected. Try to buy an upgrade, its going to say you can't afford it. Quit mycareer. Go to main menu, then log back into mycareer. Try buying an upgrade now, your skill points will be unlimited. Lol except each time you make a purchase, you skill point total is going towards negative infinity. This is just for skill points, there is a different glitch for vc Let me know if it works
the key point is making sure you have zero total points (highlights + teammate grade + vc) from the rookie showcase. You might have to jack up a lot of shots from half-court or intentionally have several turnovers (walking out of bounds or back-court). No matter how much you suck, you will still go in the first round- just lower. I ended up as a pg on the Heat when i tried the glitch. I know a lot of people would rather go about it the hard way, but it feels good to drop major points in just your first game lol
There is also another glitch in the game. Whichever team drafts you also drafts their normal 2012 rookie with the same pick they used on you: e.g. Houston drafted me #12 in my first mycareer. I went to the roster, and Jeremy Lamb was on the roster and his info also says "drafted #12 2012 NBA draft" Same thing when NO drafted me and Austin Rivers
^^^^ ps: doing any of the above will turn ur vc into skill points. you will have unlimited skill points to upgrade you player future on the court. By logging out of the 2k servers during the game, 2k automatically changes your vc into skill points, which you can't use on blings, suits, apparel etc. you can still earn vc the old way by playing online or 2 player mode. But everything you earn on mycareer will be skill points and not vc points, but your skill points will always show a negative amount when buying upgrades to use on the court. But will show as "total skilled points earned- 0" on the loading screen before every game.
I just tried it again this morning on a ps3 cos i wanted to change the height of my player and it worked. You hve to make sure u stink it up during rookie showcase, always press (x) for bad calls for pass, or run out of bounds each time for a turnover. You have to do so bad that at the end of the game when it tallies your points earned for that game, your total points have to be negative- although the game will list it as a 0. Also during the game, once you get an F grade, log off psn. Finish the game and interviews and draft. Go to buy an upgrade just to see your pt total Log out of mycareer and go back to main menu. log back into mycareer and then try to buy an upgrade now
