So Republicans can get their base to turnout? Is that why they're resorting to voter fraud and suppression?
Agree. On all counts. Obama seemed to refuse to call Romney on his BS, while Romney was more than willing to fling it.
This debate has increased my apathy towards this election. I still feel like Obama will continue to be an ineffective president, and I still have no idea what the hell Romney's platform is. 2016 can't get here soon enough.
Really? In what way did he lie to us? When did he come out and say he can't tell us what he stands for? I don't remember Obama ever saying he has a plan and couldn't tell us what the plan was. Obama stood for something 4 years ago, he told us what he wanted to do, and for the most part he did it. Romney is passing the buck and playing games. Obama is getting caught in the bs storm instead of just calling his butt out.
Sorry, I do not think "Romey won going away"... If you want to tell me Romney won, I can respect that... But don't tell me he won going away.
Did Romney win because he was aggressive? Because I didn't think either candidate won either way; I actually thought Romney came off as smug. Won't that backfire?
I would have liked Obama to come out swinging more, and Romney definitely showed more fight. But while both candidates lie and make false promises, Romney clearly takes it to new levels. Obama had some chances to lay some haymakers, and he held back.
LOL. I just said I think Romeny actually won the night. Not running away. Obama won't make the same mistake next debate.
I think its time for Jim Lehrer to hang em up. If you're going to moderate a debate, you're going to have to be willing to tell some pretty powerful and important people to stfu once in a while.
Disappointed in Obama tonight. Romney won this hands down he was more aggressive and Obama was extremely passive.
Look, the fact of the matter is that politics in general make everybody seem cynical. Its not really a matter of if someone lies 20% more than the other one, in the end, the candidate will break most of the promises he keeps for a number of reasons. Tonight was about a challenger that made the incumbent look timid and unsure. Romney expressed himself like a person with a clear direction for the country. He appeared like someone who had a plan to turn around our current situation. That "appearance" no matter how false or true it may be, plays a part with undecided voters like myself.
Fact checking articles will help Obama after the debate. Romeny made some comments that puts him at odds with his past claims/policy.
