I wonder if he's worried about Rubio not being able to make layups.

    Adelman is a coaching legend.
There were literally times when I watched Rockets games where I would be awed by the ingenuity of some of his offensive plays. He might have had some tendencies that us Houston fans didn't like... but I'd take Adelman over JVG and Kevin McFail anyday.

Some of the posters on here should read what he said on Randolph. Don't understand the hype about him.

It's interesting how Adelman seems to control the FO and not Kahn. Also interesting that Adleman wouldn't let them give up Williams for Batum. What does he see in him?

Williams is good. his game went off the rails in the 2nd half because the Wolves didn't have a real point guard. but he's very talented and he showed it.

interesting article but seems a bit messed up to air out what Adelman probably said in private. with that said Adelman knows what guys work with his system and he should be concerned with adding Roy. As much as I liked Roy I don't think his chances of being a solid player are likely at this point.

You are using the term ""legend" loosely I hope.... he is not a legend. He is a lifer, a solid, long term winning coach that can get you close but not all the way.

my sentiments exactly. Adelman must have facepalmed once he heard about this article.
Even if some coaches like to take it public sometimes and might even try to use it as a kick in the butt for some player, i doubt any coach wants someone else to do it for them.

I wonder if he is worried about love stepping on Peoples faces?

I remember several games at the end of the 4th when we were up, T-Mac clearly didn't want to be in the game and would just walk up and down the court or grimmace at an "injury". He would subtedly beg for Adelman to take him out the game. It was just sad.

Interesting how Adelman talks about needing guys who don't look to score but loves to defend multiple positions and pass the rock, like Kirilenko and Batum. No wonder Battier and Parsons got so much playing time.

^Parsons was a rookie under Mchale last year. Nice try though.

    And Chase Budinger plays D???

It amazes me that Adelman doesn't make any reference to the fact that Budinger plays no D whatsoever. Plus Micheal Beasley and every other player scored on Chase at will. Chase is afraid of contact and wants nothing to do with playing D.

So Rick, make sure you include everyone in your hate rant.

Budinger is a serviceable team defender. Sorry to tell you that.

I remember one time I was sitting right behind Adelman and the Rockets bench and I constantly heard Adelman b**** and yell at Chase for his sorry defense. He is mediocre at best.

    I guess you can't read:

“And Chase Budinger, that’s the coach. Rick knows him. He says, ‘I can put him in the game, he’s going to be smart; he’s not going to be the greatest defensive player but he can do it. He isn’t going to make mistakes.’
