The problem with that is, being a fan also means being a whiner. I don't like it either, but I'd be the first to admit I lose my cool and blow up sometimes. I try to stay positive, but funny thing is, last couple years weren't as frustrating because everyone was hurt. I actually enjoyed the games they lost last year because they fought to the last second outmanned. Someone said it's not the fact they lost, but HOW they lost. They have no excuse. I'm sorry. As a 5'8" man who couldn't score a single point in the NBA, I as a fan who spends money, time and has hope in this team have the right to b**** when they are underachieving. We wouldn't b**** and whine if the Rockets didn't mean anything to us. i know a true fan should stay positive, but if you can do that after two frustrating losses ( once again, NOT because they lost, but how..) well, you're a bigger person than I am.
You just made their point with the word "star." There shouldn't be a star. Francis, Mobely, Yao all shouldn't be star. What they should be are basketball players who get paid more than we will ever see in our lifetime that know their roles and execute. If we are fortunate enough to win championships and have a star or two, fine by me. Francis and Mobley should NOT try to fulfill their expectations as "Stars".
What the f&*k are you talking about? Yao not HUSTLING? Is that what it's come down to? He misses few jumpers he makes, and sits on the bench because of dumb decisions by Rudy, so now he doesn't hustle? You gotta be f*&king sh*tting me. If one is for certain this crazy ass season, Yao Ming hustles. He thinks of the team first to a fault, and he is moving as fast as he can up and down the court. Say he needs to improve his stamina. Getting tired and not quite making it has nothing to do hustle. I don't think you know the meaning of hustle.
Some Percpective 2000-2001 22 losses as of Jan 24. It was suppose to be Olajawon/Mobley/Francis and the cry was “The Dream’s day is done give the offense to the guards.” Olajawon is injured so the guards took over and the team became unbalanced. The team didn’t hit on all cylinder until late in the season when Taylor took over as the third scoring threat, and the team learned how to work together. There were great hopes for the next season. 2001-2002 30 losses as of Jan 24 No Hakeem. No Taylor. Francis’s migraines. There was NO WAY to build any kind of offensive chemistry during this season. 2002-2003 17 losses as of Jan 24th FIRST season to begin building the offensive identity of this team around its best players Francis/Mobley/Ming. (and Ming’s part in it probably didn’t start until the third to fourth week of the season.) This is why I'm still positive.
