    ????????????

Well I keep hearing that Drew will be traded. But what is fair compensation for this guy? Another first round pick. That's my opinion.

But who wants another pick right now. Shouldn't we use Drew to get something that the Rockets really need. Try to package him up with someone. Upgrade a position.

But what is the weakest position out there. The shooting guard and point guard position are set with the starter and the backup.

I heard that Robinson is available! That's not too shabby to try to make a move for him.

So, is there only one simple move out there to accomidate Drew? Or is there a series of moves to accomidate the Rockets and Drew?

I dont think the rockets will go for anymore big trades right now, maybe a little deal to get Drew out of houston. Which I should add , IF Bryce Drew is traded, we all can meet at a bar and party all night! [IMG]

Robinson wont come here, I never really liked his game.

There's another move out there, but who knows how major? The Bulls are hanging around to find out when Joe Smith will become available and whether he'll take their money. If he does, supposedly they would use him at the 3 spot, if he can play there. I say he should be the backup 4/5. But that leaves Marcus Fizer still to deal with.
I wouldn't mind moving Drew and someone else to the Bulls for their #1 pick next year, but that might mean Walt and Drew, and as much as people here bash WW, without him we'd be hard pressed to make the playoffs.
Drew will go, but who will go with him and what will we get in return? That's the ? right now.

I always thought that the Rockets would be able to put a strong package together for Robinson... but how about a three way?

Bucks get ??? from the Rockets
Rockets get Fizer from the Bulls for the post Mo Taylor show.

Bulls get G. Robinson from the Bucks....

but hmmmmm... I don't know how to make it work.

How about Drew/KT/a draft pick for Fizer/Artest. Would Fizer be an upgrade or downgrade for KT? Keep in mind that KT has a year of experience under his belt & showed some flashes of what he can do. I don't know Fizer's game & I'm only going on what others have said. Could we use Artest? Would the Bulls even consider this trade? Will the Dream Team win the gold? Will I win the lottery tonight? So many questions & not enough positive answers(see lottery question). [IMG]

No, I'm not sure the Bulls would hand us a #1 pick next year. I'm kinda thinking without really thinking. I believe the Bulls need to put together a reasonably competitive team or they will lose any remaining semblance of credibility as a viable franchise. Drew and Walt don't give GMs major-league erections, but they're not the worst either.
Anyway, I have also wondered about 3-waying with Chicago and Milwaukee, something that might send Fizer to Milwaukee to fill their glaring hole at PF, and sending us Big Dog, but that would cost us Cato and isn't at all likely. I think we're just stockpiling draft picks to give us leverage in next year's draft so that we might land Morris or Battier. And perhaps sending dead-weight salaries elsewhere. I like Walt, but he's not a permanent answer, and other teams showed interest. Thing is, we probably haven't been shown a deal worth taking, and we want to keep an eye on this year as well; Steve and Cat and the rest want to make the postseason (as do we all!) and we can't shred chemistry with that end in mind.
The most likely scenario is simply shipping Drew for some kind of draft pick.

    Off-season sucks.
Somebody stop me before I post again.

That would make sense on many levels for the Bulls and Rockets, but it'd depend on what the Bucks got. Robinson won't come cheap. I personally think Fizer/Taylor as the forwards would work, as both have range, and Taylor has handles. (Before you say well why wouldn't it work for the Bulls, Brand has no range, or ball handling, forcing Fizer to live on the perimeter. Taylor could step out, and allow Fizer to work, just my personal opinion on things, it'd also help all that rebounding, and we'd be tough against the bigger teams with a frontline of a 6'11'' 255 Cato (or 7'0'' Hakeem) and a pair of 6'9'' 260 forwards.

The Bucks are looking for low post offense and depth. Walt I guess would provide them with a decent weapon off the bench, without as much a longterm commitment or command for playing time. Unfortunately, they no longer need a backup PG (Drew) since they picked up Hunter. Is Walt, KT, and picks enough for GRobinson? I don't think it is, but it could happen, I suppose.

From the Bulls side, they have the money to absorb Robinson's contract, and they wanted Rice. Robinson is another pure shooter, who actually has some similarities to Rice, except younger. Maybe Drew could go their way, and then they'd float someone over to Milwaukee? It'd make sense for them.

Now we better stop dreamcasting before heypee gets mad. If you want some fun heypee, diagram up some plays for 2 6'9'' 260 forwards in at the same time.

We aren't going to get Big Dog and the Bulls have no choice but to hang around because no one wants to play there.

ROX-Do you really think one of the worst teams in the NBA would move their #1 pick in a draft class that should be one of the strongest in a longtime, for a marginal starting point guard, and someone who wouldn't be on their team in a few years, and wouldn't help them all that much? The Bulls will have their pick next year, barring an oppurtunity to grab a young star to superstar.

If things were to fall our way, we may have some sort of chance of Fizer, but I'm not sure he fits in anymore (can him and Taylor split the forward spots?) but if that were to happen, we'd be giving them plenty of picks in the next few years.

I like the Joe Smith talk.

But Joe Smith is a Center/Power Forward. Question to you can he really play productive Small Forward.

But Williams gives you more than Smith would. Williams gives you that outside shot so important to the Rockets penetrators.

You've played basketball Rocket fans, when you drive the ball in there is always someone open for a wide open shot.

The hardest thing in the world is finding reliable penetrators who have the talent to drive it in and the ability to be threats at the pass or the shot. The Rockets have THREE... Read it THREE penetrators to break up defenses.

I repeat Williams seems pretty good to me. And his last month did not hurt any. With Williams ON the Rockets had oponents bedazzled.

I tell you who I would have liked, it was Glen Rice but the price just wasn't there. Rice really would have helped this team out, one of the games best shooters; and a great scorer as well. But that's over why start it!
