I like Maclin this week if he is healthy. Not big on Morris vs TB, or Witten until he gets his **** together. Ridley was 2nd back last game, but most expect that was just part of the gameplan.

I wouldn't drop either of those guys for Jackson, but I'd probably cut a bench receiver or backup QB/TE/D for him.

So I have Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham for a little bit of a double up. My backup is Matt Ryan. My opponent this week has Julio Jones. Do you think it's better for me to go with Matt Ryan to negate the TD's Julio Jones might get? Plus Bress is paying GB this week.

Both passing and receiving TD's are 6 points.

It's me again. The person who traded Spiller for Murray and D.Jackson. Anyhow I'm trying to trade for a top tier back whether it be Mojo, Foster, Rice, McCoy, AP. My current w/r are Cruz, Harvin, Bryant, D.Thomas, Jackson, Run DMC, J.Charles, Murray, R. and M.Bush, and Ridley. What would be some trades that you would accept if you had one of the backs I want? Britt and B.Lloyd are fas so I can afford to trade some wrs too.

I'd start Ryan over Brees regardless. He's tearing it up every week, and Green Bay actually has a good pass defense these days (although to be fair, Carolina also has a much improved pass defense -- it's their run D that stinks).

Interesting stat that may surprise everyone: through three weeks, Carolina is allowing the 2nd fewest points to opposing wide receivers. And that's after facing both New Orleans and the Giants.

Even I, as a Julio Jones owner, am concerned. But that doesn't mean Green Bay's defense isn't better.

    Greedy, aren't ya? :)

I don't see why you have to trade. I'd be very comfortable rolling with DMC, Murray and Charles every week, and once Reggie Bush gets back he is a RB1 as well. If you really want to get an upgrade, I'd consider putting together two of your backs (say Ridley and Charles) and go after AP or Rice. Even add a WR to sweeten the deal. In the end, players are no good to you if they're wasting away on the bench.

Well my sneaky plan is to trade for one of those guys without using McFadden, then packaging McFadden and Jimmy Graham for Foster and Heath Miller. It seems like nobody wants to trade so hopefully after this week, I will have some mutual interest.

How much do you guys take in account the points against stat?

Say WRs vs. WAS defense for example.. WAS is 32nd against WRs in fantasy points.

I usually take that into account... for example this past week if you were hurting for a starting RB, Andre Brown would have been an awesome plug and play without even having to take a wait and see approach, that's how bad the Panthers run D is this season.

Now on the other hand you have teams like the Eagles playing the likes of Kolb, Weeden, and a stinker that Joe Flacco threw up. So those stats and ranking have to be taken into consideration with the opposite approach, this pretty good pass defense has yet to be really tested and could give up big plays especially this weekend against a potent Giants pass game.

Well at least that's the way that I look at things.

I pay more attention to the actual stats, i.e. yards conceded in the passing game and running game and if key personnel are injured or not.

Cincinnati for instance was giving up a lot of passing yards and their corners were out with injuries last week. However nobody from the Washington WR corps really did much of note fantasy wise.

The one that I do tend to pay attention to is which teams are good at shutting down TEs and which ones aren't.

For instance if its a question of Celek or Kyle Rudolph or Jared Cook, you need to just look at current trends over 3 games to see which defense is conceding the most TE points.

Beanie Wells placed on non-season ending IR (New rule this year, players can be placed on IR and still return the same season).

Now he's not eligible to return until Thanksgiving.

Go grab Ryan Williams while you still can.

I don't know why you would want to do that. McFadden is going to be a top level option going forward unless you're worried about him getting injured. And Heath Miller is a significant downgrade from Jimmy Graham, who is option 1A and 1B on his team right now and is clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the TE field today.

If you could succeed in turning your two weakest RBs into Rice (heck, throw in a WR for good measure), you should stand pat. Depending on how many RBs you can start weekly, the ability to start Reggie Bush, Ray Rice and Darren McFadden weekly and still have DeMarco Murray on standby is more than enough for anybody.

Yup, Beanie "game time decision" Wells just landed on the IR. Happy to have Williams in both my leagues.
