Lol. As long as he adds an American flag to the chair, it's fine in my book.

Yeah, who says Obama isn't American? Look at him holding that flag under such duress.

What an asshat of a neighbor.

    "What's that for, mom"

"Uhhhh oh nothing, son, just some idiot hanging chairs from the tree."

This guy is just asking to get his house plastered with eggs... or worse, bullets in a drive by shooting.
You can have your free speech, but expect there to be consequences for acting like an idiot.

On one hand, it is funny (The chair reference, not indicating hanging the POTUS).

On the other hand, it is pretty damn insensitive and insulting.

You don't know how these people truly are, but any reference to lynching a black man or the President is a pretty stupid idea. They managed to do both. At the very least they are morons.

Obviously offensive, but the article may have used the most hyperbole laced statement ever with their "two people have set civil liberties back by 100 years" line to open the article.

If someone didn't tell me it was a reference to the Eastwood thing, I probably wouldn't have put two and two together. And while I see how it's an effigy, it seems so abstract now that I have a hard time calling it racist.

I think this quote from the homeowner clarifies it is a reference to Obama:
