He's dog tired. 3 things to do: 1. Sit him down, either on the bench or on the IL. 2. No more commericials. Enough is enough, just stop it for a month or two. 3. , havn't come up with the third one yet. Anyway, Yao's performance is just horrible. We better do something before those "Yao has peaked", "Bradley is better" threads come up.
this Yao Ming thread is outright lame. If rudy T would ever put his foot down, and have Yao get 25 shots a game, or at least make his players pass Yao the ball in the post 25 times a game, the Rockets would not play this current trash they call basketball. and the Yao ming bashing wouldn't happen, I wouldn't mind if Yao went 5 for 25 in a game. Let Yao miss a lot, I'd rather go down with the stars, not freaking Cato, who can't make a free throw. I mean the amount of fumbled balls on the offensive end was really making me angry.
I agree!!! sit him until he learns to be more assertive on the floor. Also he needs to learn not to miss those chippies shots anymore...enough is enough
Good, solid thread. I would say the natural implication is more minutes for Cato - which is a good thing the way he has been playing lately. Let's not rule out Cato just because we have a great rookie on the team. It's better to concentrate on numbers as well as effort, which makes Cato my nomination for starter.
You know, it might not be a bad idea. Should we also think about starting Hawks for Mobley and Mooch for Steve? We won't score a lot then, but we may have cut down our turnovers significantly.
Too late , that dumb fat ass polypheus has already pulled up his dog-old "Yao has peaked" thread to gloat. I know he would, who wouldn't if he's a Yao hater who has nothing better to do than to celebrate Yao's slump.
With Cato in the lineup, there is no threat of offense from the center position, and defenses will be more focused on Francis and Mobley, and....er.......yeah, them two.
Guys, before yall bash and rip me (although they are welcomed as my signature says), let me say I am here trying to figure out a way to help Yao instead of just bashing him.
He should come off the bench, till he learns the NBA Game! Rudy T is rushing him and making too many new demands of him, he needs to go back to his natural way of playing and bring back all the moves to the basket. He must play through it if he is going to get used to the long NBA Season. The way the game is being played ( The Mobes and Franchise Show) Yao Ming is not a focal point of hardly any plays, his involvement is like an after thaught when the Guards have found through embarassment that they cant get to the basket, so they make a poor pass to Yao Ming, expecting him to clean up the mess.
The reason he is in a funk is because he has crashed into the rookie wall. The guy needs rest, plain and simple. He is missing shots that he usually makes. I dont remember the last time he hit a turnaround shot.
Its best for Yao not to go the All-Star game. Nobody watches that anyways. Yao needs to get some rest over all-star weekend. Also, with the way things are going now, he is going to get posterized during the game. Everyone is going to be dunking on him.
I found no entry for polypheus. However if you were referring to a small vascular growth on the surface of a mucous membrane, it is a polypus. Otherwise, help us out here.
Yao's performance is just horrible???????? did u watch the game???????? anyone who watched the game will tell you , give yao the dame ball!!!!!!!!!!!
you are wrong prlen...I watch every game... and why should they be feeding him more than they do already?? so he can put up a weak-ass shot that wont go in? Before you start accusing me of being a "Yao hater"...go back and look, I was supporting the pick and the kid from day 1... but the fact remains, he refuses to go to the hole with authority...he is playing like the proverbial 90 lb weakling.. Someone needs to get it into his head that this is a MAN'S league and if he is going to be the monster stud we all know he can be, he needs to adjust his game accordingly. I do think that he should at least touch the ball on 80% of the possessions in the best case scenario, but if he isnt going to take it strong to the hole when he is 2 feet away....or find the open man and make something happen....why bother? Until he decides to be a MAN in a MAN'S league...he does not need to be jacking up weak shots..period.
