My answer on this particular trade is NO. I wouldnt give up Steve for anybody in this league right now(no joke).

 

Odom/Miller for Mobley/Odom

The cap works and the Rockets will win it all this year. Rockets will get a true PG, and Odom is a perfect compliment for Yao. Think of all the passes running the motion offense, 25 assists every game.

 

I would NOT not it. Think About it. If Yao is gonna be you first or second option on the offence (which we all expect him to be in 2-3 years) He needs a a power forward that gives him space ( like R. Horry or Otis Thorpe did) and a guard to take some of the scoring pressure (Steve Frances) off in a with a little more consistancy that Mobley.

As a long-suffering Clippers fan, I can assure you no trade will be necessary to get Clipper players. Don Cheap-Ass Sterling will never pay Miller, Brand, and Olowakandi what they're worth. That's why Clips drafted the two power forwards. They are not there to supplement Brand, they are there to replace him when he asks for the well-deserved maximum contract extension.

tempting cuz we need a pf and brand is one of the best.....but im still an eddie believer and I think he has alot of upside.....+ steve for andre is just crazy. So no.....hopefully I'll be right about Griff.

 

I wont trade Francis for Miller, because Francis can score get other guys involved and rebound.Miller can also put up points and get other people involved but he cant rebound and doesnt have that much D.
But on the other hand i would trtade brand for Griffin




Rockets are so ****ing stupid for trading 3 players for Eddie Griffin.
The only smart trades they ever made were for Francis and Posey

 

Sterling ain't gonna sign 2 of those guys much less 3. Kandi man is gone for sure. And I think they will let Miller walk to whoever makes the offer. That leaves Brand, Odom, and Maggette. I think the Rockets may have a chance at either Brand or Odom by outright signing them or a sign n trade involving Glen Rice or Cato. I can see Sterling taking either of those players especially Rice in the last year of his deal, in return for either Odom or Brand. It will be interesting to see what interest there is in Odom this summer given his personal problems. Still, I think Odom on the Rockets would get very interesting. He is an awesome passer and a great talent.

I say the Rockets make some sort of play for one of the 2 Clippers forwards following the season.

Can you imagine our shot blocking presense with Eddie, Yao, and Brand up front?

Can you imagine our ball movement and the turnaround in our assists/TO ratio with Odom running the break with Stevie and Cat?


I like either option although I don't like Eddie defensively on the perimeter. He can't stay withthe quicker 3's, but with Yao and Brand inside and Eddie following inside, we should be very intimidating to say the least.

 

Brand's skills are very complementary and isn't much of a "making teams win" impact player. He's not worth the max IMO.

And Odom is not suitable for our team.

 

How do you figure Brand is a better fit have you seen him play or are you just looking at stats?

I've said it once before and I'll say it again the only way we would Get Brand is if we offered Yao ( He's putting up numbers this year that we would love for Yao to put for the rest of his young career), and I beleive the Rockets are going to stick with Yao through thick and thin.

I would love to have Brand on this team, it would compliment the team as ahole so much. But we would have to get rid MoT and his contract to afford him.

To even put Francis in this trade scenario is just ludicrous. Francis pretty much carries this team, with his side kick Mobley; ( lets just be honest with our selves ) we have alot less talent than the Clippers have, and at this time and they are losers and we are winners.

 

hell no ur ****in crazy **** yeah steve ir probably not a true point guard but he still averages a little less assists than miller and scores with ease way more than miller and he is just way better thatn miller. The grifen brand, no coment brand is way better. But steve man ur ****en crazy what we need is move his ass to the 2 guard have him score 30 a game and trade cat or 2 other players for miller that would do . But no trades right now we r good like this
