I had a day off and drove around with the windows down and cruised the hood,...driving slow, checking the mail,...took my youngest one to the park...I thought about how great things are...I thought about calling Manny and hearing him talk,...I thought about going to Utah and giving Achebe a hug,...I thought about Rocketman95 for no damn reason at all...I went to Sonic and had a nice chocolate shake...and drove back home nice and slow...What really made me think was because of the beautiful weather and how life rejuvenates itself with flowers, trees, and grass,...I waved to the kids and nearly ran over a dog...

I'm sorry but I look forward to beautiful days ahead...Life is good!

No kidding 75 degrees and not a cloud in the skies here in Austin today.

    Texas winters are brutal.

In less than a week, I will be in a place where it's 85 degrees year round.

    Woohoo!

houton weather has been these last few weeks, dreading when we hit the charts again --100 degree weather, yuck. but i guess that's we have to expect & accept here. we have to be thankful for days like these... cool breezes, no humdity, & one gorgeous sky. plus, the evenings have been just as great... the full moon looked amazing last night.

No! I want it to be normal Houston January weather forever! You know, anywhere from 40 - 75 degrees.

    Houston Springs/Summers/Falls suck.

I am so jealous of all of you guys!

Today here in New Hampshire (where i go to school; native Houstonian) the high was 3 degrees and the low was apparently -20!

As I am typing this post it "feels like" it is -16 outside which means I can't feel some very important parts of my body. ;)

Be thankful for your warm weather while I have to endure weather warnings that include statements like "don't go outside without several layers of warm clothing, gloves, and hat in order to avoid frostbite in the bitter cold."

Oh, to be home in Texas. It is such a great state, including its entire lack of seasons.

All of you people who wished for cold weather can kiss my ass!

The next three days are going to be brutal by Texas standards.

    Thanks biznitches!

Yes. What this picture doesn’t say is that right now, in the middle of the day, it’s –22C (that’s –8F for the metrically challenged).

Fadwaway is conspicuously silent in this thread. I don’t think it’s that cold there right now (relatively speaking of course), but they have about 3 feet of snow on the ground. If the wind starts to blow, you can lose cars in the sand dune like drifts that that much snow can cause. Fun, eh? ;)
