I didnt manage to watch a lot of games last season but wasnt kidd a low usage player with most of his scores come from 3 pointers?
Definitely not worth being one of the top 50 players in the NBA regardless. I'm happy for him though, $9 mil contract for a player over 40, good for him. And any extra money out of Dolan's pocket is a positive in my book.
knicks fan eh..i hope he manage to work out things between melo and amare. i like kidd tho, though i wish it was the championship age kidd. scott o neil is resigning maybe dolan lose a lot of money. anyway return to the topic thanks for the link roxxy.and btw where do u get he's 205 ?
Yes the ranking has its flaws, but as a whole, it is a pretty decent list to see the player tiers in the nba. Nothing is perfect: it would almost be weird if the list was.
Lin said so in his testimony. 205 is probably his most recent weight from summer workouts. Probably all muscle.
The ideal weight for Lin should be 185lbs. 200lbs is too heavy. It can be a reason of knee injury. Lin 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m), 200 lb (91 kg), 210lbs on 25/6, but he looks lighter and more muscle after the trip to China (5/9). ROSE 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)<----form wiki 190 lb (86 kg) CP3 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) 175 lb (79 kg) RONDO 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) 186 lb (84 kg) NASH 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) 178 lb (81 kg) Dragić 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) 190 lb (86 kg) D.WILL 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) 209 lb (95 kg) Parker 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) 180 lb (82 kg) Westbrook 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) 187 lb (85 kg) J.WALL 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) 195 lb (88 kg) S.Curry 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) 185 lb (84 kg) Kyle Lowry 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) 205 lb (93 kg)
185 is too light for his height and style of playing the game in such a physical sport. I'd say 190-200 would be ideal. 205 ain't so bad judging from how he looks. He looks quite lean.
I actually think his size is what gives him an advantage against a lot of guards in the NBA. Because he is still learning more often than not, the guards he goes up against are going to be better than him skill wise. But if he is stronger & more athletic than they are he can beat them with his athleticism as opposed to his skill. One of my friends actually thinks Lin will manhandle Nash because of his athleticism even though Nash is the better guard. Also his size makes him a good rebounder for his position. He isn't like Rondo who has massive hands. It also allows him to block shots and absorb contact getting to the rack. It also gives him somewhat of an advantage defensively. In spurts he could potentially defend some 2 guards (depends on the 2 guard).
Also I think Lin should start working on his post up skills He did it a few times last season, from the high post area, against the smaller PG he faces, and in the D-League
No need to make a upside thread since this is still around With all the negative threads out there - lets get back to being positive! Time to do work! among PGs as per ESPN #4 rebounds #6 FTs #3 steals & #4 in the entire NBA #5 blocks #13 minutes played - went 1 on 1 vs Danilo who is much taller - and had a strong defensive stop. - tips to teammates for rebounds - clutchass fouls -> which have resulted in missed free throws - took lebron 1 on 1 and blocked him once, (3 blocks against miami)
JLin is a great player. He's just not a spot up shooter, or a 'go hide in the corner' kind of a guy. Yeah, that makes me a kelvin sampson "hater."
