So I assume he put John Wall, who Lin pretty much obliterated his ankles, above him?

I'm a UCLA fan/alum and you're right on Collison. Don't really see him breaking out of where he is right now (borderline starter/back-up PG). He's in a contract year year, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with him after the season.

    Chris Paul
    Deron Williams
    Tony Parker
    Russel Westbook
    Steve Nash
    Derrick Rose
    Kyle Lowry
    Dragic
    Ty Lawson
    Ricky Rubio
    John Wall
    Kyrie Irving
    Stephen Curry
    Rajon Rondo
    Mike Conley
    Brandon Jennings
    Jrue Holiday
    Andre Miller
    Spot 19
    Spot 20

    Maybe:
    Darren Collison
    DJ Augustin
    Jose Calderon
    Jeremy Lin
    Brandon Knight
    Mario Chalmers
    - DOesn't even include any rookies like waiters or lillard

This is obviously my opinion and the list above is in no particular order except the ones I think are better than Lin

Lin's REAL statistics of last season,

"- 4th quarter second highest PER behind CP3 at 33

    - clutch within 5 minutes of the end within 5 points: avgs 46 points per 48 minutes

    - 6th highest FG% in ISO---Jeremy Lin had more isolation plays in his 25 games than Jason Kidd had in the last 3 seasons combined.

    - 10th player in the nba to get to the FT line

    - Of 102 players who attempted 90+ jumpers off the dribble last season, only Steph Curry & Steve Nash shot better than Jeremy Lin (47.9 pct).

    - In terms of pg's who create a lot of the “best” shots, namely layups and threes, and not long two-pointers — in theory, the worst shot in the game. Only Jeremy Lin (68 percent) had a higher percentage of potential assists fall in those areas. Andre Miller was second @ 67% & Ty Lawson had 56%

    - Lin's Synergy Defense was 0.81 (128th, 335 poss). Compare Irving's Defense 1.03 (worst among all PGs by far). lins Iso/Spot defense were mediocre (0.92 & 0.99) but P&R defense was great (0.72)

    - Lin was VERY good with ball in his hands. Mediocre spotting up 0.94 (159th,13.3% of poss) & transition 0.86 (267th, 14.3% of poss)

    - Lin Offense 0.87 (252nd, 586 poss) including 1.02 (8th) on Isos (15.9% of poss) and 0.80 P&R (67th, 42.8% of poss).

amongst starting pg's in the NBA:

    - he was 5th in TS%
    - 13th in TRB%
    - 5th in STL%
    - 5th in BLK%
    - 2nd in DRTG
    - 9th in PER
    - 8th in AST per 36
    - 32nd in TOV per 36
    - 1st in FTA per 36.

    - Lin is the only one that ranks TOP 5 in both STL% and BLK% among PGs.

    - Lin had almost as many FTA per 36 mins as Durant had in the last reg. season. (Lin: 7.0 Durant: 7.1)

    - Lin is the only one that turned the ball over at a rate of over 20%(21.4%) in TOV% with a USG% of over 20%(28.1%) among these guys besides Rondo, who turned the ball over at a rate of 22.8% in TOV% with a USG% of 20.7%.

What is most impressive is his FTA per 36 mins. It's very impressive."

This is the third time I've seen this exact post reposted on this board.

People really need to quit it with all these FACTS getting in the way of my preconceived notions and regurgitated opinions like how Kyrie Irving and Ricky Rubio are so much more proven(wait, that is never questioned with them), or how Dragic and Lowry have started so many more games therefore they are better(wait, no they haven't).

Jeremy Lin is an OVERPAID, AVERAGE player that has ZERO upside since we've already seen his old ass play in so many games over the years that we know for SURE he is what he is.

NOW STOP TRYING TO **** WITH MY REALITY*.

*Which is infinitely more important to me than rooting for the team that I am supposedly a fan of and giving a key player on said team the benefit of the doubt. Which would not be the case for countless random scrubs past, present and future who everyone had/have/will have no problem overrating their boundless "potential", unless his name is Jeremy Lin.

Unproven? Hah! My words need not be proven. Because inseminating the seeds of doubt across the dark corners of the internets is their sole purpose. And your mind has already been penetrated and filled with the fear of the unproven.

Fear is the most powerful emotion known to man. Not bound by language, race, or creed. That one has been startled, yes. But not nearly frightened enough. When his dream within a dream comes crashing down, even Jeremy Lin will not be enough to save him. To save us all.
