I got hit with negative feedback from all sides when I said that he was a decent player and that he would be a good pickup for any team. *Sigh* Well, I see him starting for Charlotte...some scrub huh? Oops on the 4.5 million salary part...you guys are right....that's a big mistake on my part.....Chicago wanted to have a roster spot...and I don't think veterans fit into their massive rebuilding plans Pass 1st, Shoot 2nd.....you actually posted the same message twice (hence the name).....that's where the punchline was from. Do you get it yet? Look up and you can see for yourself.... Pass 1st, Shoot 2nd, Look up and read the thread and all my messages and you may actually see that I'm not the big "let's sign Hersey NOW" person you seem to be making me out to be. I simply have said (consistently) that he would not be a bad pickup if we want some backcourt relief for what has been a notoriously injury-prone team. Also, if we do get Hersey (which I've repeated time and time again, we probably WON'T) I doubt that we will have the luck that we had with Eddie Johnson, but I think he can come cheaply and contribute better than what you guys think. The funny thing about your whole argument is, that if I had suggested picking up Eddie Johnson 3 years ago...you probably would have bashed him the same way you're bashing Hawk....(and FYI, Hawk is younger now than Eddie was when we signed him). The main point is that, in the NBA, just like real life, you never know what can happen...many players who are predicted stars end up doing jack and some players who everyone thinks is washed out/finished comes back and blows everyone away....you never know....and hindsight is 20/20....
