Around 3:00 am I get this text... You're a really great guy but our lives are in different place and we both want different things in the future. I think its for the best if we end things now. Hope we can still be friends. So I texted back... Ok In a matter of seconds my phone blew up with text messages because apparent she was expecting a different answer. I went from a great guy to number 1 on the list and its not the Christmas list.
Tell her to go fck herself. Anyone who breaks up over a text doesn't deserve more than an "ok". Plus, she gave you the most cliche excuse known to mankind. Even if true, it's like she copied it word for word from a magazine.

Very simple. Block all her communication. Don't cuss her or respond any other way. She asked for it. She got it. "OK" was the perfect response. Don't say another word. Just block her. If she wants back in your life, she needs to earn it.

That "ok" was pretty awesome. I'd feel good about not being single in a generation where texting is a thing, but then I realized that "the breakup text" is way the heck better than "the breakup I just cheated on you with my ex-boyfriend because I couldn't wait for you to get off of your bartending shift." I didn't reply with an "ok" to that.
Can you please elaborate on what she means with different things in future? Children, house, job related?

If you don't have a chance to be physically with her maybe. I would have had the same reaction, **** you if you want to break up with me over a text message.
