Austin is a VERY nice place to live, plus I get all of the Rockets, Astros, and Titans games because nothing gets blacked out. DaDakota, or anyone else who lives in austin. Well, this season, i hear the rockets have only 1 nationally televised game. Unfortunately I live in a private dorm, and I don't get Direct TV.. so no League Pass. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good place close to campus, that I can catch the games. I already tried Mr. Gatti's during preseason last year..but I don't think they had it. =/ Pleaaaaaase help me out.. Elie, I am not sure of many places here (in Austin) that will show the games, I get the NBA League Pass myself, and if you cant find some place, let me know, I wouldnt mind having a few Rockets fan with me to watch the game at my place ------------------
I wouldn't mind living in Austin. It seems kinda layed back. I like Houston but it has alot of negatives like crime,dirty air,crowded,and traffic. Houston is like in the top ten in homicides which is not good at all.

Getting back to training camp. Hot dam! I can't wait to see the new Rocks on the floor. Don't get me wrong, but all this trade and "who we gonna get" talk talk is kind of boring. PUT A TEAM ON THE FLOOR AND LETS GET IT ON!!! And its gonna be bitter sweet to watch the greatest center of all time go through his swansong. ------------------

not really the appropriate forum for this info -- but there seems to be alot of rocket-less austinites.... the tavern on 12th and lamar usually shows rocket games when pathetic spurs fans don't overrun the place shoal creek on lamar at around 10th is the home to many diehard rock fans. showplace lanes on IH35 has a sports bar and plenty of rocket games my buddy steve at the continental club will always show rocket playoff games -- even during a band's set ( he's got a big screen behind the stage curtain) hope this helps -- all of the above are better bets than the gatti's option ------------------
