Do you know what Investments yield? An All-Star game will generate >$7 million for Houston. Guess you'd hate to have the Super bowl here again?

I'd be a lot more excited about a "downgrade" in beer prices. Lord knows we're going to need it for the next few years.

Or how about a "downgrade" in the amount of clothes the Power Dancers wear?

This brought to mind the opening of the Astrodome and the "Texas Sized Scoreboard". I still miss that fun of watching the fireworks after a home run ( a rare thing at the Astrodome) or after an Astro win (another rare thing back then). The scoreboard was a tourist attraction along with the stadium itself. Who cares about the team.

Interesting the larger new scoreboard weighs less than the smaller old one. Still look a little scary, I hope the installation work is top notch and the scoreboard gets hung well.

Someone on the inside told me on Tuesday that it was up, but covered. So basically, we are not going to have video screens for stuff for secondary events, such as concerts and stuff. Whack. Oh well.

The first chance to see it I believe, was at the Eric Church concert last Friday. I had tickets to that concert, so I had my chance to "see it." I gave those tickets away.

The following Wednesday, I asked him about it, and he said oh that's what that was. He said that everyone was looking at it, trying to figure out what it was.

    Cool Story. I suppose.

If you are seeing a concert at the TC you dont want that monstrocity on. Trust me. It makes the room way too bright, and really downplays the bands light show.

Ive see concerts at the Cowboys stadium, and when that thing is on for a concert it destroys the show. Not that Cowboys stadium is an adequate concert venue to begin with, but it makes concerts there that much worse.
