In my defense, I love dogs and didn't even bother reading the article because I knew it would make me upset. But ******* it, I never get to be first on a pun, so I jumped on it.
I'm curious, what's the actual story behind this? Did the dog instinctively throw himself in front of the bike to save those kids or is it more of a case of being there at the right time?
No one knows, they of course say it was intentional and dog wanted to rescue them. Don't know if a dog can really analyze the situation, interpret the danger of an impact by a motorcycle and then comes to the conclusion that he has to jump into the bike to save them.
A lot of dogs have the disposition to recognize a threat to their children and consequently place themselves between the two.
Saw this in the news earlier in the year, here's hoping for a successful surgery. Instinct or not, that dog has guts.
